On Saturday 3rd of April our grandad Harry Heath passed away in his sleep.
My love for this club is down to him and my dad (Egg)
I took my son Harry his first game Saturday, we were supposed to be meeting grandad in the ground, but it's the one home game he didn't make. I was the proudest yet saddest dad in the ground!
He died knowing that his beloved Stoke City were the top midlands team and playing quality top flight football.
I Hope my boys grow up to love our club as much as he did and as I do.
RIP Grandad, forever red and white, forever Stoke City!
Gav

So so sad to hear this. I knew of Harry through my brother who worked with Harry at Stafford Borough Council many years ago.
Harry was a laugh, and his great attribute was that he always made sure anything you told him about Stoke was always repeated several times to his fellow Stokies. He made you feel so knowledgable by doing this.
My brother always used to recall Harry having his lunch break in his council hut with his cup of Bovril in hand and shouting 'Bovril Beef', in his own inimitable style. He used to hate Wolves as well!
A true Stokie.R.I.P.

Really sorry to hear the news about Harry.
Spent many an hour driving him to away matches. Orient away in the autoglass trophy springs to mind when he announced that he had seen a lion the previous day. Kept the car in stiches for the rest of the journey.
A top man never to be forgotten.
My thoughts are with you and egg.

Lovely that your son has got the same name, means you can always remember your dad everytime you look at your boy.
All the best mate, he'll be up there at the weekend leading a chorus of "We always beat West Brom"!
RIP

That has really shocked me mate. We all loved Harry and I grew up around the corner from him and travelled to many a game with him.
True potter and a truly nice gent.
Poor Harry.....he will be sadly missed....end of an era for us North End Stafford Stokies.
Condolences to you and your family
Steve ( Asda Stafford )

Thanks for all the kind messages.
For anyone interested the funeral is Friday 16th of May 12 o'clock at Stafford crem, then onto the GPO club for the wake, which I'm sure will be some wake!
I'm sure he's up there smoking his park drives, having a rum and pep whilst stroking his lions and rounding up the sheep!!!! If you didn't know him, you'd swear he was crazy!

It was a fitting tribute yesterday, the place was packed & of all ages. If you knew Harry he was a legend & he will be missed by many. TBH I'm still pissed now
