There's no reason why the name should change. Britannia is more than a building society. It should be for instance The Bet365 Britannia Stadium or whoever takes up the reigns.
Britannia has to stay and should irregardless.

Maybe we could get one of those US TV companies involved, call it "The Cage"...and bring back TP

I like Britannia as a name, and £1m a year for naming rights is pennies with this new TV deal. Could a stadium name be so bad that it'd actually cost a club money by tainting their reputation?

Whatever company it is, the word Ground is the best suffix, the word Stadium is just about acceptable, but the word Arena can fuck off. I would prefer Bearpit to Arena. The Britannia Bearpit.

Britannia wont stay. No new sponsor will allow it. The Britannia stadium is going. Time we all got used to that fact.

Can't we approach the Royal Victoria Insurance Co. with a view to it being called the Victoria Ground

We don't have to lose the Britannia name though do we ...?
The advert on Sky always uses the image of the white ford car with our stadium as its backdrop merely capitalising on its 'Britishness'.
You just add the name of the sponsor to the Britannia.

Pity really that we have to go with a sponsor. Other clubs have not gone down that route, who perhaps could command more naming rights, Old Trafford, Anfield, Goodison, even Molineaux have resisted the money Would be awesome if we could call it the New Victoria Ground, Or the Sir Stanley Matthews Stadium...

We should keep the name Britannia - even after losing the sponsorship - and just add the new sponsor's name in front. EG the Bet365 Britannia Stadium.
The reality of football now is, we need the money, and to be honest much as I love the current name, we need to secure the club's future so I won't really object no matter what they do. If a cash rich private company is prepared to pay us vast sums of money for the naming rights then we should grab it with both hands (not that football clubs actually have hands!) and put sentimentality to one side. Everyone hated the ground and name when we moved here anyhow so there's nothing to be sentimental about.
The lower divisions are littered with "sentimental" clubs that went bust.

My vote is for:
Trentham Park
A good, old-fashioned type of name for a football ground.
