During the sales periodic updates related to "previous days" sales total.
However, a week after the end of sales - nothing. Why is the club so quiet? They made a big noise during the period - now nothing!
Don't they want to admit that seat availability is likely to be at a premium next season. That would be a curiosity ( although it could flag the issue of the fabled corner extn). Or, did the sales balloon burst last Wednesday?

I agree it is very frustrating to get regular updates during the early bird period but not a whisper from them in the week since the early bird period ended. You'd think a week would be long enough to analyse and check all the applications and make an announcement as to the official early bird figure. I hope that the silence doesn't mean that sales tailed off but, like you, I fear that may be the reason. Communication with the fans still seems a bit of a black hole at Stoke City, doesn't it?

My finance agreement took a week to go through before my SCFC direct account updated showing my purchase.
Also for people with no email address they have to send out the agreement to be signed which obviously takes even longer. You also get the problem I had with my lads, I did that over the phone and they spelt my addy wrong so I never got the emails to sign online, V12 rang me about 2 weeks later about it.
They should know the full number next week.

It's quite simple really, the club wanted to whip up some 'be quick, don't miss out' hysteria before the deadline closed in order to snare the ditherers. Once the deadline passed I doubt it would even occur to them that supporters would be interested to know the final tally.

To be fair. This happens every season. It was to be expected. I agree. Final early bird sales would be of interest.

On 'Sunday Sports', I think it was Ange who said an announcement would be made this week. So dithering SCFC will tell us the final dithering figure so we can stop dithering and worrying about it!

Tbh I don't care about how many we've sold, I'm not in the finance department, I'm surprised some are really that bothered tbh.

The more season tickets we've sold, the bigger the feelgood factor. We all want what's best for the club, and the sales figures are probably the best barometer of how well we're perceived to be doing.

I just don't get why it matters so much to people and what difference it makes to them if we sold 22k or 22 ?

I guess the interest in sales figures amongst the fan base has been created (quite deliberately) by the club themselves, with their running commentary on how well things were going on an almost daily basis whilst the window was open.
I guess one of the OP's point's, is why create all that hysteria during the window and then keep schtum about it at the end? Rather than there being an interest in the specific figures themselves - two very different things really.
Having said that, personally I wasn't really interested in the figures they were realising during the window anyway, as I'm sure it was all pretty much propaganda at the end of the day.

I just don't get why it matters so much to people ainfluence at difference it makes to them if we sold 22k or 22 ? Really? Oh well, that's where we differ then. Personally, I don't get why it matters to you that someone should post a question that you have no interest in. Unless, of course, you want to influence what's posted.

As Paul says it's the club that initially created the interest so its quite understandable why people would wonder. Historically the amount of season ticket money very often fed into what would be spent on new players but I'm not sure that is the case now.

It would be nice to hear how many we have sold, it would give us a good idea on how many of us were looking forward to next season. Along with the daily fan fare from the club during the early bird period, it is a little shitty that they go on the down low.

On the knot fm show last night, it was mentioned that the number would be announced at the end of the week.
The next stage is the seat swap seats "window" and then back to the usual prices etc I think

You would guess there would be no reason not to start the seat swap window from next Monday, there is nothing else for the Ticket Office to do, surely?
