It's simply a power thing - that's why they do the job. Yes of course it is Nothing to do with wanting to keep fans safe, is it? The history of the two clubs are horrendous. The majority of us are well behaved, however a small minority are insistent on ruining it for everyone else, which is why shit like this happens. I don't for one minute believe the majority of coppers could give a toss about football fans and safety. The lads i've grown up with who've joined the force where either bully's or lads who got bullied and want to take that out on someone. There are without doubt a good number of decent coppers but from personal experience at football and away from it i think it would be generous to say 50% of coppers where in the job to protect and serve. Match day coppers tend to be after a bit of aggro as much as the "lads" are from what i can see...

My brain farting would make eminently more sense than anything that emanates from your mouth you pathetic sack. You have brain farts ? That explains so much GD He'll end up suffering with "multi infart dementia"

Just got back from the match ( I live down here), had a good experience in the away end. Went on the local bus from Cardiff city centre, had some banter wit the Cardiff fans. At the ground, we were heading away from gate 7, until some Cardiff fans redirected us to where we needed to go and wished us well. Inside the ground had some banter with the stewards who wouldn't give us the barbie beach ball back straight away. Hairy Potter was beside himself with glee with a blow up sheep in the sunshine. Leaving the ground we got on the ninian park train and mingled with the Cardiff fans and had a discussion about Kenwyne's kidneys. All in all a good natured day out

Staffs police pull them in just off junction 15 or 16 and motorcycles escort them in every other week Don't see a problem If it's a problem to your human rights then pay up take em to court - or go by train ????????

I was on coach 11 today. No issues with rounding everyone up for a police escort in (beats the traffic) my only gripe was we pulled into the services at about 1 and we were told 10 minutes then we would be off, think it was gone 2 when we pulled off from there again.

It was closer than that but no need spend half hr doing naff all when getting us in the ground would of been the best solution.

Surely the police knew it was gonna take an age to get 30 coaches onto that car park, so don't know why they wern't there waiting at 1, then could have taken us in a few coaches at a time and it would have been quicker. Apart from that nothing unpleasant, and got out fairly quickly. Ive been to much worse as far as being herded around goes.

Be creative on how u travel to games if u don't want to get pulled over! It's standard anyway isn't it?!! I dunna know about it being Standard mate. I have been a few away games and the last time I remember being escorted IN was against the dingles a few seasons ago.

Always remember going Swansea for a night game and walking to the ground we were pelted with coins bricks bottles etc. The coppers simply said you decided come here!! Lovely folk them welsh wankers I was there at the Vetch. Home fan trying to climb over onto the pitch and after the match running battles. The stoke team coach had its windows smashed by Swansea fans leaving and there were Swansea fans kicking in car doors and smashing windows of cars with Stoke fans in. Remember going 1 0 down and coming back to win 2 1 with Cranson/Overton out injured, forget which one now. Still a great mid-week game. Think we had brucie Grobbs in goal for us aswell.remember walking back to the car after the game loads of swans fans in large groups across the road from where I was walking on street corners,I was bricking it in case they came across to us.

The coach thing was a bit of a piss take but the South Wales coppers were friendly and helpful I thought.

The welsh police have always done that, stop you miles away & search coaches for booze, weapons, illegal immigrants etc... tossers! Who the hell would try and smuggle themselves into wales? Those who want a free prescription...
