The BeeGees in Miami early eighties ....they all had their own teeth and so did I .....my god do I miss them.
...and the BeeGees.
The crumpet on display was better than Chell Working Men's club on a Saturday night....
Not one wore a head scarf and smoked woodbines.
Fanbloodytastic.

Queen @ Knebworth Park (Their last ever gig although they/we didn't know that at the time) Dylan @ NEC (He didn't speak to us once, looked bored stiff. But that's Bob Dylan for you!) Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers @ NEC (Supporting Dylan, they were superb) Status Quo @ Glastonbury Abbey The Wurzels @ Octagon Theatre, Yeovil. The Crickets @ Somewhere in Leicester (in the '80s. Obviously no Buddy Holly, but fantastic to even be in the same room as rock n roll legends such as them)

leaving out glastonbury (cos the beer and "Other things" tend to lend a hand in terms of how good you remember it being)...
Radiohead 2008 Old trafford (Cricket ground rather than the theatre of shit!)
gorgeous sunny day, bat for lashes and mgmt as support and Mr. Yorke at his lazy eyed best! although i always think Jonny greenwood needs a feckin haircut!
was well worth missing out on the Euro 2008 final for!

Great venue was Bingley Hall Stafford, basically a cow shed at the County Showground. Saw Queen there 77/78ish, News of the World tour, also saw the Police early 80's ( 82 at a guess ) it was at the time Sting was in the film Brimstone & treacle, he played the Devil, and the closing scenes he jumps through a window, he fucked his hand up filming, and had a stand in guitarist for the gig. Support act was Jools Holland and his Millionaires....2 really great gigs at an awesome venue...

Been to lots of gigs and up until last Friday night, it would have been one of the following
Any early period gig by The Alarm The kills/ Horrors double bill at the warehouse project Manchester BRMC at the Ritz Green day MEN arena Infadels at Night and Day
As memorable and brilliant they all were, after seeing Prince at close quarters performing for almost 3.5 hours at the Academy in Manchester, he wins. And I wasn't even a massive fan. Great guitarist/musician, talented band, great stage presence.

Saw Fela Kuti in 1984 and like all things at Glastonbury memories are a bit hazy. I do remember it seemed like about 100 musicians and dancers on stage. Also saw King Sunny Ade there one year. Saw the Clash at the Vicky Hall but it was early 80's and Crass up in Sheffield.
