I'm not quite sure of the point of the poll. I'd prefer to stand but in a few years time I'll have reached an age where I'd prefer to sit and the important thing (for me) then will be that I can sit in comfort with those who want to stand being given an area to stand in so they don't stand in front of my seat.
Wouldn't a more sensible poll be to ask people to choose between:
a) An all seated stadium
b) A stadium with some seatingand (for those who wished to stand) some modern, well designed, continuous rail areas where people could stand in safety.
I chose standing - but, as said above, I'm not sure what the result will mean in practical terms.
With the safe standing areas you have the option to lean on the front or back railing which would be better than free standing but like you say Lakeland the older we get sitting down won't be an option it'll be a must.
I think once you hit a certain age sitting is relatively compulsory but if you've got the energy to stand, cheer and shout the whole time then you definitely should! nothing beats an atmosphere where everyone is standing. The energy felt is so much greater!

I am a season ticket holder and have been for as long as I can remember I am 54 yrs old now so I prefer to sit down at matches. I stood in the old booth en end at the Victoria ground but I was only a child then. I prefer the britannia stadium as it is personally. I think that it is still safer to sit down at football matches. I don't have a problem with people who prefer to stand but it's not for me now
