Guidetti will have to wait his turn on the bench, I guess until about 60 mins. 5 minutes from the end more like.

Praise the lord some pace at last. Gudietti on on the hour. Strong side that. Not sure about the pace. Odem isn't particularly quick at this stage of his career. Can't judge Guidietti yet.

Bizarre - Odemwingie plays after flying in late, but no Guidetti? Maybe because Odemwingie is a better player than Guidetti.

If Bego proves his fitness over the next few games, I can see Jack going to the Championship on loan again once their loan window opens.
As for Guidetti, he needs to do his talking on the pitch - I think this is Hughes saying that he picks the team: quite right too!

Happy apart from would like to see Odemwingie through the middle and Arnie on the right and drop Crouch!

Sparky must think Guidetti isn't ready to start yet and is better coming on in the 2nd half and who are we to argue with that. Interesting no Cattermole and Fletcher I think they could be on the way to us.Pleased Odemwinge starts in place of Walters , hopefully we may get the 5m that we want for him from TP.

People are more interested in who isn't playing than who is. Funny old game. That's because no Walters in the team is a Hallelujah moment for a lot of people! Never thought I'd see the day! Its like playing without Forest Gump. BM

Cattermole looks even more likely now surely? Plus i think this is Crouchie's last game for us I don't think we can afford to lose PC in this window. Give him the chance to link up with our new attacking players

Odemwingie, point to prove. Adam and Assaidi, well rested. Ireland, Guidetti and Arnie impact from the bench.
Like it.
Erik needs to keep Johnson in his pocket as does Whelan with Ki.

James Hunter ?@jhunterchron 14m Fletcher has been struggling with a knock and is on bench. No sign of Cattermole - interesting. #SAFC

It still makes absolutely no sense that we've got 2 strikers on the bench and one on the wing that we still persist with the slowest striker in the league.

Starting XI vs Sunderland: Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross (c), Wilson, Pieters; Odemwingie, Nzonzi, Adam, Whelan, Assaidi; Crouch Substitutes vs Sunderland: Sorensen, Muniesa, Palacios, Arnautovic, Walters, Guidetti, Ireland Walters from start NOT - HALELUJAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

I should be quite chuffed with that line up, then I read down to 'Crouch'.
Until we have movement up top, our formation is pointless.

I know many won't agree but Odemwingie is a great signing. We'll see over the next 4 months! He showed his talent at WBA - but has he got the legs?

I've got to say I love this bench though. Sorensen, Muniesa, Palacios, Arnautovic, Walters, Guidetti, Ireland. Must admit that the lack of decent cover at the back does concern me.
