I don't think Crouch could have done anymore with his but Cameron and Shawcross should have scored. Agree Cameron should have done better, but I don't hold any blame with Shawcross, the keeper got it bang on. |

We should've been level going in at the half. Why don't we play till we're 1 down? Why are our managers scared to attack at 0-0 away from home, they scared we might win?
Very poor start, finished much the stronger, we need to come out second half and really go at them, get Guidetti on for Adam (so he doesn't get sent off). Push two up top and give it a real go

I'd take Adam off (we can't risk going down to 10 men, even though he's doing ok) and go 4-4-2 ... Sunderland are not very good at all, we need to really get at them from the first moment of the second half.

I think Assaidi looks alright generally, he's confident and looks good running at his man but his crossing is woeful. Every single one has been over hit, he should just have a shot at goal every time instead - one of those might at least go in!

The fight back started when Hughes started to get involved, he needs to do it more often. He does and has probably realised that. Why the players need shouting at to motivate them beggars belief though. |

Really starting to think that Assaidi is a bit of a one-trick pony. Races forward, checks, comes back onto his right and then lofts something towards the back post. Or is that unfair? Well, there is the odd occasion when he smacks it in the top corner...... And how glad we all are he did do it that one time! Would be nice to see him drive towards the goal a little more and look to lay it off for Adam, or even a reverse pass to Pieters (who still makes me nervous). |

2 yellow cards for us means that one of Adam and Nzonzi will be red carded just as we are really dominating. The ref is being the usual cunt to us. The Adam one was harsh. I think Bardsley looks a highly likely candidate for a 2nd yellow tbh. And as I say that, he's been subbed at HT! |

If you completely discount the keeper who it was headed straight at then yeah.. also, if Shawcross was that fearful of landing on his broken arm, he wouldn't have gone for the header in the first place. |
