Any one know if there fights amongst the Gillingham fans when they did the same thing a couple of years ago? Any Gills regulars get protective enough toward their manager at the time to start on fellow fans?

I'm taking my banner with me
"THANKS FOR EVERYTHING TONE. AMAZING MEMORIES. YOU ARE THE ENEMY TODAY THOUGH SO YOU CAN FUCKK OFF (FOR 90 MINUTES PLUS INJURY TIME). AFTER THAT IT WILL BE 'THANKS FOR EVERYTHING' AGAIN. ANYWAY, I DIGRESS. IT'S ALMOST KICK OFF SO 'GOAARRRRRRRNNNNN HUGHESY LAD'. BRING HOME THE 3 POINTS. LETS STUFF THESE SOUTHERN FUCKING PANSIES"
Does that appease everyone?

If a chant of 'There's Only One Tony Pulis' goes up as the manager's come out of the tunnel tomorrow and then to support our current manager a chant of 'There's only one Mark Hughes' immediately goes up at the same time. Should the original lot: A. Shut the fook up B. Join in with the Mark Hughes chant C. Sing the Tony Pulis chant even louder to make themselves heard ?I would shut the fuck up!

pulis was part of a team of people who brought stoke city forward to where we are now .he couldn't of done it with out the people he had around him at the club .if you want thank some one thank everyone who was part of the structure of the club at the time and that included the fans and the people behind the scenes .to to put all the clubs success down to one person is very narrow minded so time to move on !! I agree with you there mate, to an extent. The whole club should have nothing but pride in their contribution over the last 6 years or more. But, since a manager faces the lions share of criticism for poor performance, then they certainly deserve the majority of praise too for achievements. After all, it is a managers job to control the whole of his team and staff, so employing a good backroom staff is an achievement also.

They're pretty ridiculous to me, in all honesty.
A waste of money that could have either; A) been spent in any of the past 4 or 5 seasons on the same thing and had more of a positive impact on Stoke City, or B) been spent on something in the form of a supportive banner for any of the current playing or management staff, who's appreciation of said banner might actually be of benefit to Stoke City.

Amazing how other fans welcome back their heroes with ease and without blood letting isn't it. Mourinho back to Chelsea with Inter, even Benitez back to Liverpool with Chelsea two clubs who despise each other and here we are scrabbling talking piss about loyalty.
Zero class, I'm afraid.

You'll probably find the girlblousery displayed on this Internet message board will not carry through to the away end tomorrow. People love a good keyboard battle. I imagine tomorrow there will be no problems. A brief clap for Tone and then crack on with the game.

He's fucking gone why don't some people move on? it's Hughes and the Stoke that need the support not Tony Fucking Pulis and Crystal Pulis. Gouranga. Mate, why can't we do both? Why can't we show Tony our gratitude by cheering him as he appears, giving him one last thanks for everything he did for our club? Many of us never got to properly say goodbye, if you consider how the Spurs game was a disappointment really. Once that's out the way, we can then support Stoke as they hopefully batter the shit out of Palace. There's no disrespect in wanting Stoke to absolutely fuck up a team managed by Tony, it's exactly what he would want. Along with that, I am in no doubt that Mark Hughes would be fine with Stoke fans giving some support to Tony before the game. It's a shame, considering what he did for us.

Should the original lot: A. Shut the fook up B. Join in with the Mark Hughes chant C. Sing even louder to make themselves heard ?johnno reckons it will end in a fight Why do we as Stoke fans have to make things so difficult? Every other team in the country is able to welcome back modern greats with the minimum of fuss and also desperately want their team to win. It really is not that difficult. Well it is because of some bigots who cannot accept that Pulis made arseholes of them for 10 years. I didn't say that did I? I said I can envisage trouble amongst Stokies if things weren't going well. God forbid we happen to be losing at any point, particularly late on. I don't think anyone in their right mind would object to Tony Pulis being given a very good reception when he takes he place on the bench or even if he acknowledged the travelling support at the end of the game. I think there would be serious objections if those platitudes continued through the game and even more so if those platitudes came at a time when we happened to be losing. Don't be twisting things now MoMo! I'm pretty certain that we will lose tomorrow and I can envisage a fairly nasty atmosphere among travelling Stokies were that to be the case.

10 pages on this all that will happen is that they TP will be applauded by the absolute majority....they may well sing his name for a bit...then that will be it. The rest will be as usual match....with possibly a verse of he wears the club shop. maybe a 'Pulis Out' from Johnno which was the norm in any case. You know me too well mate. I'm clearing my throat for the "Pulis Out" shout! It's the only reason I'm travelling tomorrow! I also agree that "barmy army" is gay and it should always be "red and white army". Those idiots that have added "we hate Vale" to the end of it as well should be lined up and shot!

The Guardian have been on here. 2) Pulis' quest for points is crystal clear in Stoke reunion
Tony Pulis should be hailed by Stoke fans as a hero. The man who guided the club from mid-table Championship status to Premier League stalwarts, who took them to an FA Cup Final, who signed Ricardo Fuller. The football may not have been attractive, but it was effective – they were never a soft touch, and the lowest top-flight finish was 14th. However, it's not that simple. That stolid style of play, coupled with a large outlay on transfers and wages, left fans disgruntled and there were few tears shed when he was shown the door at the end of last season. Mark Hughes was appointed to unpick the conservative tactics – which was more than apparent in the helter-skelter 5-3 loss to Liverpool last week – but it's proving an arduous task. Meanwhile, Pulis has taken charge at Crystal Palace, and will face his old team for the first time on Saturday. Will the travelling support cheer? Will they jeer? Palace may be languishing at the bottom of the table, but a win could well lift them out of the relegation zone, and will put them just two points behind Stoke. One can't imagine there'll be any gratitude shown by the visitors for Pulis's long service if they travel back to the Potteries without all three points. www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/jan/17/premier-league-10-things-to-look-for-this-weekend

I suppose the truth of the matter is that the wankstains thought of themselves as the majority on here whereas now they're realising that a banner actually speaks louder than their words could ever do and I guess that cuts to the core. Seems the wankstains are in agreement then judging by the total lack of abuse ones received.

Pulis is doing everything to win tomorrow Some of you lot are helping him I don't really understand what you're afraid of to be honest. If anything, Stoke fans giving Pulis a good reception might take a bit of sting out of the home support. Stoke fans will, without doubt, want to be on top form for this one. I don't think saying a quick thank you will have the slightest affect on the match at all though.

Both very successful managers for those two clubs - winning countless trophies. Pulis wasn't universally liked when he was Stoke boss. Why can't some people accept that fact?
