Decided to venture into Crypto to diversify my existing investments.
I'm only talking very small amounts here whilst I learn the ropes - not really wanting to lose a shed load so keeping it small.
Any suggestions for good starting points? It's hard to see through the amount of stuff out there

There’s no rhyme or reason to it currently as a meme of a meme coin leads the way.

I've stuck a few quid on Safemoon
Do I think it'll end up being a rug pull? Yeah, probably.
But 35 quid nets you around 1,000,000 coins. Now, even if that reaches an unlikely $.10 by say 2025, that's a fucking good profit.
For that much, I'm happily punting on it.

Good strategy is spending a little on plenty of left field coins like that. Someone invested $8000 on Shiba last year and it’s now worth 6 billion dollars.

IMO, if SHIB can rise like it did, Safemoon should have a chance assuming it doesn't all go tits up.
SHIB did have the power of memes behind it, Safemoon does have some utility going for it.
It's really an exciting time to be investing in Crypto at the moment.

What platform do people invest in crypto on? Zerps is your man for this one
But I use Binance then transfer to a wallet, I've previously used Uphold and Coinbase Pro before though and they were easy to use.
For coins like Safemoon, I use Binance to purchase BNB, send BNB over to Metamask and then use Pacakeswap to trade BNB for Safemoon

I use binance coinbase and crypto.com Etoro is a decent start though. I started on there.

Polkadot having a bit of a run today That's nice. I bought a few polkadot when I finally ventured into crypto earlier this year. I check them out every 1-2 months. It was all OK last time I looked - 25% up which is f-all in crypto terms but will do me as I have no plans to sell for 10yrs.

I took delivery of my songbird airdrop yesterday, wrapped them so I can delegate them and earn staking rewards twice weekly.
If anyone’s interested 😂

Pretty good article on Bitcoin… The Bitcoin delusionIt asks a pretty good question; is Bitcoin “a currency or a speculative investment”, and concludes that while it originated as the former it is now firmly the latter. Which is something to bear in mind when considering how, if at all, you want to engage with it.

It’s too slow and expensive to use for payments but it’s digital gold. (A bit of an insult as gold dropped in price this year) One day it’ll be obsolete as coins like xrp take over, offering instant settlement at virtually zero cost. That being said, bitcoin is still the daddy and the movement of bitcoin dictates the entire market. Keep an eye on the bitcoin dominance chart. It’s currently retesting it’s all time high, we could be in for fireworks leading upto xmas.

Sometime in the next few months the whole lot is going to crash through the floor and appear to slowly die for a few years. The fact there are now two active crypto threads on here means the top’s nearly in. Retail investors are exit liquidity. It’s all over the news too. Most people will buy the top.
The next bitcoin halving is 2024. If you sell your kids and go all in two months before a bitcoin halving you’ll be set for life.
Research previous bitcoin halvings and charts on google.
That’s how this market has always worked. Ignore the bollocks.
When everyone says bitcoin is dead. Go all in.

Not long now till Safemoon goes to V2 with consolidation, knocking 3 0's off the price but diving your bag on a 1000:1
Currently have 27 Million tokens, will reduce to 27,000, tokens still hold same value from purchase. From consolidation, effectively the same hitting $10 a token as $1 is atm.
The more I read on it after my initial rug pull skepticism, the more I like it. Good things going with wind turbines generating energy, eventually linking to the blockchain contributing to burn.
Starting in Gambia, plans for TAF City I've heard as well, supposedly a city that has Safemoon as it's currency in the future. Ambitious, but seems SFM is the only crypto being linked with anything of this scale in Crypto so far.
Still for HODL'ing for 2-3 years I think, plus reflections too. Could reap some tasty rewards.

Could you possibly provide a translation into English. It looks very interesting, but I can’t make out what you are talking about! Haha, it does go in depth!
So with Safemoon, it currently has a cost of $0.000004221 per token. After V2 and doing it's 1000:1 ratio consolidation, that will turn into $0.00421 per token. So my 27,000,000 tokens turns into 27,000. So I would own less tokens, but it has more chance of hitting a dollar a token. So £27,000 in earnings if the dev team hit all their goals is a realistic possibility. I plan on investing more though. You've got stuff on Market Cap though and all other tidbits but that's the barebones.
Regarding the turbines. Basically, the turbines generate electricity and that's sold to the grid as standard. Profits are used to buy Safemoon and burn supply. Less available = more expensive to buy and good for those invested.
Hopefully that simplified things somewhat!

It’s mental. I know it’s a similar principal to the fact I have no actual cash in my bank account it’s all virtually there so why not have virtual money. But let’s be honest mixing this with the NFT shit that’s going around it’s not going end well, a bit like the subprime mortgage issues with the last economic collapse.

Wondering if anyone has tried the Bitcoin Era algorithm app. Is it a scam? Asking for a friend. ??? Please do not use Bitcoin Era. It’s about as trustworthy as those Forex ads you see on Google. You’ll either get rinsed of all your cash or you’ll be thrown into bad trades. Either way, you’re going to lose a lot of cash. Stick to trusted exchanges and trade the standard way.
