The Met Police have today said they'll fund the investigation for another 12 months. What is the point ? When I started playing golf my 1st handicap was 28, it only took me about 2 months to get down to 18, then another 6 months or so to get down to 16. I believe the officer leading this investigation is off 11, and is quite sure that another 12 months could see him off single figures. And given that The Algarve has virtually year round golf he is certainly in the right place to achieve this.

Throw the official towel in and let the parents crack on. The money is needed elsewhere.

Makes you wonder what kind of connections the McCanns have. Also, has it been confirmed that the money is going directly towards the search? I feel sorry for the parents who have genuinely had their child snatched that the government havent given any funding to.

Spot on However much this gets bandied about the inadmissible circumstances point to sinister goings on with the McCann entourage apartment etc than the parents screaming abduction on repeat

Madeleine McCann family on verge of bombshell DNA offer which could solve caseHowever, his request has yet to trigger a response from the Met – with Perlin now set to approach the McCanns directly. He added: “I did get the email address for the family and I’ll probably contact them soon and ask them if they would like an answer.”Wonder if the McCann's will take the risk grasp the opportunity?

Summary is that the parents did it. There is something of a cover up which most of us don’t understand but, one way or another, the parents are guilty.

Strange always a new suspect when the begging bowl is coming out for further funding. After losing the Amaral case their 'Find Madeleine Fund' must be low as people seem to be getting fed up of this circus

They can't be used in UK tax evasion court cases either

The police don't need to do any more work, they know who's responsible. If anything channel their resources into the McCanns.

Now Rutman has gone from the Home Office, who will advise the Home Sec on the merits of continuing to fund Operation Grange? And more importantly has the gate keeper been removed?

The dog's evidence can't be used under Portuguese law. They can't be used in UK tax evasion court cases either The most bizarre case as Scotland Yard are only treating it as an abduction when there is no evidence an abduction ever took place. The abduction theory is no more than that...a theory.

Don't get why anyone would buy a book that doesn't have any ending.
...and I don't get why this abduction get's so much press compared to others.
I have no issue with the case being open but at least treat all other abductions the same.
Just how much more research can still be done that hasn't already been done.
