This "hate" bollox is pointless. The vast majority of all footie fans are decent, hardworking men and women who just adore their own team . Sure we all have our nutcases, crackpots and nutters but SToke City FC has its own fair share as well.
The really interesting point for me is that no-one appears to have mentioned the Fail?

My message is simple to grasp. There is no need for vitriolic hatred on The Oatcake message board. I would rather stand next to a visiting supporter during a match and have a chat and a pint with him afterwards than shout obscenities and make rude gestures to him during the match and threaten to kick his head in afterwards. Admittedly I am old school and recall the days when football was all about enjoying a good match rather than the result being a matter of a punch-up or a gloat. Oddly enough, supporters of other clubs are human beings just like you and I and I admire their passion for their club just as I marvel at the passion of all Stokies for the best team in the land. I am sorry if this reasoned point of view is boring to some but I am sure that many will find it ok.

A. Chelsea ( but Arsenal coming up on the rails although less high profile because they will never win anything.) B. Wenger ( Steve Bruce has been much less of a twat than I remember him being since Hull got promoted) C. Arsenal - I'm a mild mannered person but I could gladly use Alan Davies as a human punch bag a la "Things to do in Denver...."
And can we add in D. Player because a list like this isn't complete unless I can say how much I hate the most overrated timble toed donkey I have ever had the misfortune to encounter in all of my time watching football the uber qunt himself John Fucking Terry....................putting his kit on after the final whistle in the European Cup was the most pathetic thing I have ever witnessed in a sport largelly populated by stupid self absorbed wankers.

Mate, the oatcake is the perfect place for vitriol and hate,as is any football related medium.Football is all about tribalism and hatred it brings out the worst in people but it is not the place for level headed tolerance. Incidentally you must be very old school because I don't know of any time when football wasn't about scrapping and gloating.

Admittedly for the vast majority of teams (89) in the leagues I have no grudges whatsoever, and have had many a good banter and a pint with fans of these teams, there are 2 teams I have a disliking for, but for the arsenal fans of the world I would take some great pleasure in throwing a pint over him and kicking him in the bollocks. I apologise if this contradicts your rationalised reasoning but it's just one of those things and I'm sure many on here share my views of these wank stained cockney tossers.

Maninasuitcase - a reasonable man but still no-one has mentioned the Fail..... The fail are hardly worth mentioning. After all they talk about us much more than we give a toss about them. Their golden period was being above us for a few years in the 90's and that is what they hang on to. As for us it's here and now, and right now it's our god given right to detest arsenal with every ounce of sinew we can muster.

A. Arsenal - Hated them for as long as I can remember, circa 1995. B. Arsene Wenger & Brendad Rodger C. Arsenal, they're fans just don't look right. They don't look like proper football fans, more like people treating themselves to a day out....they are just wank people, no character or charisma, that know fuck all about football. Post Euro 96' football boom fans are Arsenal fans.

A- Agree B- Agree C- Agree D- Full house, agree again! Was having a lengthy debate/argument with a 'Arsenal fan' on sunday night. When I say Arsenal fan he lives in Alsager! Wankers the lot of them!

A) Man Utd - rapidly being overtaken by the popular choices on here but all those years under Ferguson are hard to forget B) Jim Gannon - the sight of all 6ft 4 of him sqauring up to Steino in 93 will always stay with me, I hated Stockport more than the Vale for years after that. Its not nice being sacked but i smiled every time it happened to him. C) Newcastle -for some reason hate us, and are more obsessed with Sunderland losing than their own team winning

Too many people on here are allowing events over the last three years or so cloud their judgement. You have to take the long term view and put the whole business of hatred into perspective. Think of all the clubs over the decades who have slighted us, denied us our place in the roll of honour, cheated, lied and distorted to the point of utter and sustained despicability. For the record, my list is: Arsenal Wenger Gooners
