Considering the size of our club and price we signed Cameron for, we've done well. He is athletic enough, can take people on and just needs lots of continuous coaching on how to cross when in the positions that he gets himself into. If he does that then I wouldn't be surprised to see him move on to a bigger club, or hopefully we will progress with him. He's 28 mate. No chance he will move on to a bigger club Imo.

He'll get better here. He's good on the ball and that's a first for a rb at stoke in sometime... He can take people on aswell but just like peiters he will need to adjust to a new spot in a tough league give em time. IMO needs to work on crossing and his headers but he can be great for us in a attacking rb role. He needs to emulate Zabaleta in attack for me and I hope this season he's allowed to adventure forward much like peters on the left. Love seeing defenders past the half way line so far this season real change of direction so far loving it.

Get Cameron to emulate Zabaleta, N'Zonzi to play like Yaya Toure, Adam can start picking out passes like David Silva, and Crouchie putting shots in the back of the net like Aguero. That would do it for me.

Yeah being 28 does limit his appeal for those who want to make money out of him or the top 6 teams, although UTD did want Baines who is 29 this Christmas, this is not me saying that UTD would want Cameron. But teams between 6th-10th he could have a stab at if he seriously improved his crossing. Either way it will be a win-win for us because of the price paid.

Cameron is an important asset in our team. He'll stay here no worries and with everything sorted we can establish ourselves as a solid 8-12 place position and give a good shot at the cups. Over- optimistic .... ?

Did he travel then? If not, he should be fresh ahead of this weekend's game.
First home game that I am genuinely looking forward to for as long as I can remember.

Not really Jimmy. He had his best game to date in a Stoke shirt at West Ham and deserves to keep his place in the team for the moment.
Long may it continue.
I am way behind the curve when it comes to international football. I usually take the international break, such is my lack of interest in England, to switch off from football completely unless Chesterfield are at home, at which point, I go to watch them instead.
I looked to see which of our players played in the week and whether they were subbed at all because I'm only interested in Stoke City.

A change of manager? Getting used to the hurly burly of the Prem or bedding in as a full back which he isn't by nature? I still share your concerns about his reading of the game and marking but he's good going forward and shows some game intelligence which could mean he'll fully adapt in time. Give him until Christmas and let's see how he's doing.

Not sure mate. Maybe it is something as simple as having enjoyed a rest in pre-season. He had, afterall, played a full MLS season before joining us so perhaps he was just knackered.
For me, his improvement at West Ham was because first and foremost, he remembered that he had to stop his immediate opponent, in that case Jarvis. Rather than doing stupid things, getting caught too far forward or going forward at inappropriate times, first and foremost, he made it his job to defend and stop crosses going into the box.
He looked much better for doing that and as a defender, you defend first and the rest of the stuff will follow.

He played 90 minutes in the Costa Rica match, playing CM. Did ok, not his best match. Gained a yellow which took him out of the Mexico match.

In Cameron's defense he was paired in the midfield with Jermaine Jones, Cameron looks much better in the midfield if paired with Michael Bradley. USA can look really ugly if Michael Bradley is out, he is the only legit American that can play cool and calm at CAM.

It's probably difficult going from right back with us to central midfield with the USA When he was with Houston he played all over the place. Before we signed N'Zonzi he was going to be Stoke's holding midfielder. That's why I like him, he can provide cover at fullback, center half, or midfield. He was crap against Costa Rica though.
