N'Zonzi despite being a mardy twat at times must stay and play a key role in this team Charlie Adam will thrive in this system with the freedom The attacking options desperately need to be strengthened for this system to work....Ethers is a spent force sadly, Jerome isn't good enough, asking a lot of Pennant to step up and Kightly on last seasons form isn't good enough. Jones or Crouch could work, while Walters should remain. Defensively we are just as good

If you're going to be a smarmy little shit for the entirety of this thead, I might aswell humour you with a 'yes, they probably are', and see where it leads. Hilarious stuff. Another one who believes we have a better option up front at the moment than Peter Crouch. I can think of at least 6 players that need moving on before those two, probably more if I had the time. Ill get back to you later if I can be bothered as some of us have a life to attend to And I'll bet you that not one of them are using up even close to as much of the wage bill as either Crouch or Palacios. Truth is, if they're not going to be making an impact this season, and my opinion is that neither will, then they need to go and free up precious money for someone else to come in. Enjoy your night.

Yeah because out of all the deadwood in our squad, these have got to be the first two we think of moving on. If you're going to be a smarmy little shit for the entirety of this thead, I might aswell humour you with a 'yes, they probably are', and see where it leads. Whats smarmy about it? He's right is he not? Palacios was no better or worse than anyone today and has been no better or worse than anyone all pre-season. While i would move them both on there are others i'd be shifting off first.

And yes, I am being obnoxious Again, you have to be looking at who is and is not going to be playing a major role this year. Of those on the 'surplus' list, those with the highest expenditure should be shipped out as a priority to help fund fresh faces.

Crouch couldn't burst a paper bag - even if he tried.
OP said: Cameron shocking- really? Jerome maybe but Geoff (Cameron) looked useful to me today.

Simple, the previous manager has left a squad of footballers who are going to need serious coaching in order for them to start creating chances and play anything like the attacking football promised by the new regime. Mark Hughes needs backing by Coates NOW. The previous manager has spunked £100million on hoofers. Fact. It's laughable the number of times opinions are presented as "fact" on here. The players the previous manager left showed today they can play football. My opinion is that we're 3 players short of being a very decent side. And probably the current squad is worth about 80 of the £100M spent.

So far Mark Hughes has shown that Palacios and Crouch will be vital members of our squad this season. Kind of throws your argument out of the window that these two should be priorities for being shipped out. As it stands Crouch is our best option as a front man so why on earth would we be shipping him out the door before the masses of deadwood we have occupying forward roles in our squad?

What we have learned so far is that our knew transfer policy ,which appears to be thrift and more thrift could not of come at a worse time. A number of teams around us have spent big and weappear to be treading water at the moment.Hopefully this will change before the transfer window closes.

The op's forward line of Walters Crouch and Ethers is the worst possible attacking line up you could possibly pick out of what can only be described as a struggling bunch. If this forward line is ever deployed we could only hope that our defence is solid enough for us to grab a point.
On different note I am extremely disappointed at the lack of activity seen by Cuvelier, obviously there is no chance of seeing him this season not even bench warming.
