after watching that youtube he looks fantastic pace to burn, skill, determination and doesnt mind putting his body on the line to make a chance. Though you wonder after seeing that why he hasnt scored enough or hasnt actually played very much?

He's been touted as being the next best thing but has done nothing to back it up from what I can gather. He was awful in the Euro's. But he has time to come good, I'd hope for someone a bit more proven than him though.

The thought of him and Diouf leading the line is really exciting with service we'd have a real goal threat. A pool of Oliveira, Diouf, KJ and Jerome would be unbelievable.

If he then doesn't show enough we can simply let him go back.

Maybe a season long loan then pick up Diouf on a free!

Maybe but I don't think we can have any passengers up front this season especially if one of the passengers is meant to be one of our top line strikers. It's low risk but I have my doubts on him.

What's he done to make him highly rated? I've only seen him play for Portugal and he was dreadful and his record for a striker is one if we were linked to under Pulis that we'd all be turning our noses up at. So what magic does he do that makes fans of one of Europe's better clubs rate him so highly? Because there must be something.

I like how on that thread it seems they've come to a conclusion his better option is Cardiff because we're spoilt for choice up front at the moment

I remember him being very highly rated in the Euro's.
Portugal's Eric Cantona he's known as.
Never seen him play consistently so not easy to comment on whether he's as good as the hype.

There must be and because of it I took an interest in him last summer in the Euro's and he was awful. Even with not scoring he didn't offer anything else to help them. I want to know what I was missing (other than the obvious ).

Looks like he has ability from the little I've seen but not to demand a 24m buy out clause!!

Another profile...Hard to marry all this hype with a distinct lack of appearances at Benfica - or elsewhere- though.

But I wouldn't put too much focus on the buyout clause, they'll just be covering their arse if he did turn good and someone better than us wanted him. I don't know if they're mandatory in Portugal but in Spain they are and people made a fuss of Muniesa's but it was just Barcelona covering themselves. They fucked it up on Thiago! Another profile...Hard to marry all this hype with a distinct lack of appearances at Benfica - or elsewhere- though. ...and helped Deportivo to be relegated........

Was voted 2nd best player at U20's World Cup in 2011.
Stan Collymore said he should've started more games at the Euro's because he looked 'promising' in his cameo's.
He has bags of potential, he might not be fulfilling it yet, but he's definitely got potential.

This boy has been talked about a lot but doesn't seem to have produced yet. A loan would be a more low-risk option, but I want to see a forward that will come in and start and be able to score 15 or so goals a season. The fact that he couldn't get into a very poor Deportivo La Coruna team should tell us a lot.

From what I know about him (which isn't much) I hear a lot of "super sub" comments made about him.. does this mean Jerome's future lies elsewhere?
