New trainers today 👍
Going to have a couple of days rest before giving them a try, mind.
Also, £2,000 now raised. Unbelievable Jeff!

Nothing like a new pair of shoes to make you want to get out for a run. Ease them in with a couple of short recoveries and then give them a blast over 10k to see where you're now at. My guess is you'll be able to go close to or under 50 after your 30 days.

I've been doing 10k 6 out of 7 days these last 8/10 weeks and it's starting to take its toll in terms of my energy levels/times. So to achieve you did in the times you did them in was bang on....

A cracking effort there RA - really impressive. A quick google shows it's the same as running from Stoke to Southampton!

Your inspiring me. New shoes needed. First 10km since beginning of May 19 - 51.12 I did 10k this morning - 51.12 precisely..... If I could get rid of this extra stone I’d be able to knock a lot more off that. Since 2015 I’ve gone from 18 stone to 13 and back to 13.5. My diet has gone from 100% shit to about 30% shit in that timr. I bike around 150 miles a week in winter about 200 in summer and Again I do not have the discipline to go full on health freak with diet. My FTP is 290 which is decent but I can get up hills but not as fast as if that stone was gone. Mow Cop nearly killed me Monday

Mow Cop nearly killed me Monday Same, if I was as fit as I should be I'd shave a few minutes off that, I've been running 7k-10k 6 out of 7 days pretty much since lockdown started, but I've also been working 10/12 hours a day and eating shite where I should have eaten healthier. I've told myself no fucking about from now one, healthy diet, regular exercise and at a decent pace and an all round healthier lifestyle. Sleep is a killer for me also, I'm a complete insomniac which means I go through life in a permanent haze feeling low on energy which makes running a slog some days. I'm hoping a better diet will help with that......

I'm interval training on the track tonight. Try your 10K route one kilometre on it and one kilometre recovery..... make sure it's the recovery bit on the hill coming back to base

Apart from the odd night or footy out I cut down massively on the drink years ago. Just some red on a weekend if I’m not cycling

I’ve got good power on the flat and descents and the legs are that strong a drop in weight would not affect that. But a stone lighter would defo get me up faster but still every time I go out I PB on lots of segments so I’m still seeing continuous improvement. Can’t ask for more than that really. On a decent rolling two hour ride I can average 19-20mph which is quite decent. But this winter I put a shit load of good base training in. 2x1hr sessions most days with intervals as well

Not pleasant at 12 mph.... especially when your heart, lungs, muscles and bones are as old as mine You have the heart and lungs of a 20 year old According to this watch I seem to remember the reading was something like 27 which led me to taking the piss out of my 22 year old lad who initial readings were for a 41 year old..... he's now down to 25 minutes for a 5K after just two months
