I've always got my eye on getting a road bike after I was cycling to work on a hybrid and back last summer (13 miles each way)
I just know how obsessive I get about things so probably best to leave it a few years until I'm not fit enough to be a runner like all the other cyclists 😉
14 miles for me this morning, not been out much this week, lovely morning for it.

I hate to inform you but the runners who cycle are the fittest lads and lasses out there.... and it's killing me to admit this The lovely lass who takes the NTC track sessions twice a week won the World duathalon title in her age group a few years back. She takes out the local age records in the area for fun

I do everything from 10 mile time trials to 20-50 mile social rides then the 100+ mile sportives and mountains in France. Never been as fit and healthy in years.

This is the main draw of the bike for me. I can do 3 hours hard work on the bike and I know that the next day my joints will feel fine. 3 hours running will leave me nursing my hips and knees. The runners I know who cycle properly are all cardio beasts.

Out running this morning, and I have to say it is already much quieter even in the usual busy spots - less cars, dog walkers and other runners. Just had an e-mail this morning saying a trail half I was entered to do up here on April 4th will be pushed back to some time in the Autumn. I guess there will be an awful lot of this now - I wonder if the Potters Arf will survive unscathed? Mid-June seems a long way off but perhaps not in the current scheme of things. It'll be cancellation until the Autumn at the very earliest I reckon. All the running clubs are closing down and all races being called off just as I'm hitting my peak Had an e-mail just now to say that my April 4th trail half has been re-scheduled for the 1st Nov this year.

I suppose potential November weather might make for some 'interesting' trail halfs

Back up to 8 miles with a one mile climb in the middle for the last two days, absolutely flying at the moment and no bloody races to go at.
I've heard that one of the older guys who comes along to our Saturday meet is in hospital with what sounds like symptoms. He's as fit as can possibly be for his age so he's got every chance of beating this awful disease.

If this was the GDB I'd tell you that he died last night , as it's EE he came out of hospital yesterday

Another five 8 mile runs in the last six days with a day off to do a couple of hours in the garden. Good luck to anyone not doing the Manchester marathon tomorrow or doing the home relay leg

Think I'm running more now than I ever have.
Shorter distances (between 4 and 7 miles) but way more often.
Its definitely helping, given the current circumstances.

9 miles this morning, some around Silverdale country park.
I've gone the other way to everybody else and my training has dropped off a cliff from around 40-50 miles per week for a year to next to nothing.
All that bloody training in the horrible conditions and now it's nice I've bloody my mojo!
Going to spend a few weeks training for a 5k and give it a good bash, see if I can get close to my PB

I got down to low 23s then hit a brick wall. You need to get a fast, attractive training partner. It's worked wonders for him
