Absolutely quality slide show , very much appreciated .
My biggest shock was Kav showing up ......how did that go down ??
Quite emotional to see my heroes showing their age , and even more emotional on a personel level to see how well the ones around my age (48) look in comparison to me.
Old Bertie is just the cheekiest chappy going isn't he ??
Much has been said about who wasn't there ........but those legends and lesser legends who did make it ...........Thank you lads and a nice touch by who ever sorted it out !

I was nearly sick in my mouth when I saw Brammer, but then I saw George Berry and all was right with the world.

Great pics, just so frustrating not to be able to name them even though I would have seen most of them play
Some like Geoff Scott look totally different

Said on another thread - would love copy of video clip of Johnny King running. Loved the whole thing.
btw Alan Hudsons autobiography is well worth reading if you want an insight into player culture (drinking) in his era it's amazing they ever got onto the pitch in those days.

They are brilliant photos! It was great to see so many players and even more fun trying to work out who the hell they were! (Presume Salif was too late for the photos? Does any one know if he was very late for pre-season training or a bit early? ) I don't mind Banks & Eastham looking "distinguished" but it was a bit scary to see how old some of the late 70s/early 80s team (who must be about the same age as me)now look. Thank heaven I don't have a mirror! My Mum has been going since the mid-fifties and was a bit disappointed that she couldn't really see who half the players were on Sunday, so I am looking forward to working my way through the photos with her tomorrow night. She was delighted to see Johnny King sprinting across the pitch as he was one of her favourite players. He is one ex-player who always seems to be having a ball whenever he appears. Long may he continue to have the health & energy to do so!

Adrian Hurst at Stoke kindly gave us the names of the following (from left to right) Ken South (sorry but I have no idea), goalkeeper Mike McDonald, Don Whiston, who played for the club in the 1950's and Mike Allen who was our physiotherapist in the 1970s.

I also have no memory whatsoever of Ken South. If any Stokies can fill in one of the many gaps in my knowledge I would be delighted. As far as I can find out, Ken never made a first team appearance.

Oooh I did like watching Gleggy. He could play that lad could Spoke to Gleggy on Wembley Way before our Cup Final. Have to say what a thoroughly decent bloke he is, he spent ages talking to a big group of us, got a great pic of Gleggy and my lad. Really good player and top bloke.
