Loving the timing! I'll enjoy taking £10 off my two Citeh supporting work mates who last September bet me that Mancini would be in charge of their team for the final game of the season

Brendan Rodgers is now the 7th longest serving manager in the Premier League - having been appointed in June last year.
The game is gone :/. Disgrace.

Poor bugger. BBC NW reporter twitterCompensation must have been agreed with Mancini. Figure of £28m has been quoted to me by good source. Astonishing #mcfc Apparently not true that, it's more like £7 million.

I think he had to go. They have gone backwards this year. Had a poor transfer window and signed players he didn't know how to utilise or who played very few games. Football was certainly a lot less entertaining than previously and seemed to lack the courage to go and win games from the offset. Too defensive in his approach and seemed to want to make it all about himself. No real indication that things were going to improve next season and so after spending all of that money only one way to go...........oh and Mancini has been sacked too.

So as it stands, four of the Premier League's top six teams will have a new manager in charge at the start of next season, who'd have thought that? It's certainly going to be interesting to see how things pan out over the next 12 months with all these teams in transition under new management and new regimes, maybe it might pave the way for Stoke City to make an assault on the Premier League crown?! Don't be ridiculous.Just champions league.
