Are you hitting 'Reply' or 'Quote' when you want to create a message?
Have you tried posting using another browser? If you get some success that way, which browser was causing the problem?

Dave, I've got exactly the same problem as Bagwash's original post...... so it's because I use Internet Explorer then, is it?
I haven't got Google Chrome on my laptop - and I am only just about computer literate at the best of times - I get by, but only really rely on using the basics - but I just can't do a reply including a quote, which we need to be able to do on here.
Any help would be much appreciated - thanks.

Sorry if this is posted somewhere else but can't see it. Is it possible to quote a reply from one thread in another? For example quote a post in the Summer Transfer thread in a thread dedicated to a particular player? Thanks.

What you'd have to do is click on the BBCode tab at the bottom and copy the post you want to quote and paste it into the other thread. You'll need to copy all of the html commands as well.
You can also link to the post by clicking on the wheel at the top right of the posting screen. Copy "link only to this post" and paste it into the other thread.

I was trying to select post and add it to a reply in another thread. It loses the selected post between threads. Thanks for the help.

Yes, you can hover over the message title and select it and then go to Actions (in the red bar at the top) and either delete or archive the message.
If you want to select all your messages go to Select (obviously) and choose either all your message or all the ones you read and then either delete or archive in Actions.
