lets grow conifers all around the training ground so nobody now can watch us train, stoke city like my fucking arse! Conifers!!! Why do we even bother supporting this shower of a club anymore. Fucking conifer coveting cunts! Sack the board, sack that bloody manager, sack those mercenary arsehole players. In fact fold the bastard club, knock that eyesore of a 'stadium' down and plant some nice Yew trees! Bloody conifers indeed!

Tell you what if some of you could get off your high fucking horses for more than 2 minutes and do something positive you might achieve something in life
I read this post, tweeted about it to the club and others within the club (politely),they saw it and replied something would've done
Bin was there when i went inside yesterday, was gone after the game - trauma over
Rather than bitching about what's probably been done by somebody as a mistake or with little thought (I doubt Peter went round with the bin himself), just raise it by email, phone, twitter etc and if what's happened was a genuine error then it will be resolved
I think some just enjoy the drama of it and the chance to have a go at the club.
Agree it could be in a better place - perhaps a memorial area by Stans statue with seats, so perhaps somebody should ask nicely?

Somebody has been incredibly dim to not question putting a bin there but presumably whoever did it worked for a company with no link or interest in Stoke and I'm guessing nobody at the top level of the club were remotely aware that this had happened (can't imagine PC walks around the back of the Boothen too often?) That said somebody with an ounce of common sense should have highlighted it but thankfully it now appears to have been sorted out.

Not sticking up for the club here but didn't they say at the tome they were putting it by the boothen because that us where (by name) he scored his goals?

Perhaps some of us have previously tried liasing with the club, especially when we were not Premier league, and more recently and were not treated so cordially. That is despite being very professional or courteous ourselves...

So perhaps get off you own high horse before denigrating others

I would try but it's a very big horse I must say that whenever I have contacted the club (over may years) to complain, observe, suggest they have been great - Scholes has always responded courteously (he even rang me once!) and replies to emails if they reach him. The trick is getting past his PA!

Yep ...agree with you German Stokie ...I have to say there are some folk at the club who are brilliant ....it's just a shame about the ones who are a bit "up" themselves ....as I've said before ...certain people at the club know the cost of everything, but the value of nothing .....

It seems to be beyond their comprehension (or they just don't give a fuck) that the overwhelming majority of supporters are supporters because of our former heroes - like Big John - who graced the park both at The Vic and The Brit. It shouldn't need supporters having to contact the club to bring things to the attention of TPTB. It isn't rocket fucking science! Along with other heroes, Big John laid the seeds of passion that we supporters passed down to our children and grandchildren. Take yesterday for example. My grandkids didn't have a clue who Warey was. After we'd told them and after they'd seen the video the club played and the tears in granddad's eyes, they were singing his name and bursting with pride. They then knew he was special, and I'll guarantee that if anybody ever asks them about Tupper, they'll be able to say, "He was a proper Stokie and he scored the goal that took us to Wembley, dontcha now!"
Sir Stan (quite rightly) gets a great big statue that's prominent, and BJ gets a nondescript place shoved out at the back of nowhere. Whichever way you look at it, it's not right, and Dan's idea to create a walkway of busts of former heroes who paved the way to our current success should be something to promote and not hide away. And why wait 'till players pop their clogs to do it? It should be something for current players both now and in the future to aspire to: to be placed amongst the 'Hall of Fame'.
How do we choose them? Easy. Let those who saw them play select them. I'll start with Franklin, Steele, Smithy, Hudson, Jimmy, BJ, Banksy, and TGO. And seeing how Warey's passing affected the supporter's yesterday, no way should he be left out. They didn't have to be world-beating players to win the affection of the supporters; all they had to do was wear the red and white stripes with true pride.
OS.

and sir Stan's statue would have looked superb at the front of the car park opposite the main entrance.
I noticed plenty of Norwich fans taking photos of themselves in front of it.
Perhaps Peter was saving front of shop for himself

Assuming that I'm one of those supposedly being told to get off their high horse I'll reply. Glad the bin was shifted and it was done quickly. Credit to those who shifted it and also those who contacted the club. All that said I still feel the whole episode reflects badly on the club and particularly our "local" owners. I might find it easier to shrug it off if our club was owned by a chicken farmer from the Far East. But we're not are we? As Mr Coates is fond of telling us, he's a local boy through and through. Raised on the heroes and glories of yesteryear. So taking all that into account, just how does a bust of the great John Ritchie firstly end up in a crap location and, secondly, end up sitting alongside a dustbin? Players like John Ritchie and Paul Ware are OUR heroes and OUR legends and deserve celebrating with pride and class. A chairman who apparently thinks and feels like us should surely get that shouldn't he? Then again maybe it's all a total irrelevance and all that really matters is the here and now of the glamorous Premier League.

What's wrong with being behind the Boothen? I can understand if it was tucked away behind the South Stand but it is the Boothen End. Liverpool have Shankly behind the Kop rather than in front of their main stand... Is the club really so riddled with arseholes from top to bottom? Folk paint a very very bleak picture of the club

Is shankly's stuck at the far end of a car park? i genuinely dont know, altho i don't really give a F*** where they put shanklys statue. im not sure if the club is riddled with arseholes but, its becoming clearer and clearer as time goes on
