Depends whether those words are banal, regurgitated cliches with little substance or not. No other manager ever does that. Other managers have a bit more leverage if they aren't presiding over a run of 8 wins in 44 games.

Bless, it must be hard for you. Not at all. I'd be happy to see the back of Tone ASAP. Equally I'd like to see the back of knicker-wetting responses to every banal word uttered by the manager. Momo? Is that you?

You're going to be disappointed on two counts there Mark, firstly he isn't going to abandon his principles is he and secondly if he was going to change his approach is he going to tell Harry Redknapp? What priciples can we look forward to being upheld to our benefit? I can think of a shed load that I would love to see chucked in the bin.

Is there any chance Pulis will ever realise that football is primarily about skill, tactics and team selection, I ask myself.

I agree but if you're looking at a press conference for him to suggest a change of tack and then get antsy when he doesn't you'll give yourself blood pressure. The best manager in the country is a fact avoiding arse coverer, you just have to see his blame shifting nonsense about Andy Carroll last night. ALL MANAGERS DO IT! Foxy is a much better man than me btw - but like me can spot a girly knicker wetter a mile off!

"And when quizzed on the Britannia boo boys, he said: “There might be a small portion of supporters that have done that [booed] but it is not the majority. “We have been having a difficult run and minorities get a lot of publicity in this country. “The majority of supporters have been brilliant. They understand we are in a battle, a scrap, and they are right behind the team. “We have got five games, five throws of the dice to get the six points we need. “There are 15 points there, so that is what we have got to do and stay focused and positive. “We need everybody around, it is a call to arms for everybody in Stoke-on-Trent. “This is when we need everybody to stick together and I think the majority of supporters understand we need their help.” Read more: www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4893601/Tony-Pulis-Stoke-fans-still-support-me.html#ixzz2QpqTScPc- all direct quotes, any "context" from the sun not worth reading
