And that's the problem, mate. A slightly better performance means bugger all when you're staring down the barrel. Yeah. Strangely enough, I think we should have got the draw with the chances we had but that we didn't deserve a draw. I still think we're safe already, though. I wish I had your belief, mate. I only think Sunderland can save us and I worry about our trip to them which would decide our fate.

Utter garbage. Straws being grasped at by people who should know better. The manager just keeps doing the same thing time and time again and it's just not working. Anyone who thinks this bloke can change things around is kidding themselves. We're DESPERATE for a change of management and coaching. We had more than enough chances to win that game.

Pretty solid away performance. Only thing missing was goals. We created enough but the finishing from several players wasn't good enough. Tactically, I think Tone got it right today. 6 league goals this year and 4 points off relegation, another scoreless road loss and you think it's a solid performance? Some standards you have.

Add 2 goals to a number of performances and TP's job would be safe and we'd be top half easy. But, we aren't. Is that your excuse if relegated? Add 2 goals here or there and we'd be fine, so everyone relax.

Pulis won't be going, so no point even thinking about it. Our only hope is that, behind the scenes, someone gets some sense into his head.

In what way were his tactics right? Away from home, against champions league chasing Everton, we limited them to only a handful of decent chances, whilst creating several decent opportunities ourselves. We were organised and hard working in defence, and looked to get forward when we had possession, culminating in 10 shots on goal. Not exactly shabby. Let's not forget that Everton were at home, and they're actually better than us to start with. Given that Chelsea lost away against Southampton today, I'd say our result wasn't all that startling.

We can only hope the rest of the coates family pull Peter to one side and give him a good shake to shake some sense into him.

Also thought we looked OK, seemed to compete and agreed we did keep champs league chasing Everton to one goal. HOWEVER we have failed to score at all again. Slightly different approach, same result. It's not looking entirely clever is it?

It looked to me like Everton were in cruise mode for parts of the match.

Best away performance for a long time - makes you realise just how badly rubbish we are.

(or the last 5) I thought we utilised the flanks much more than we have done in recent weeks, there was still plenty of hoof thrown in granted. I thought we looked to break quickly where we could. Too many times moves would break down due to poor touches etc, particularly from Jerome. I honestly believe a couple of goals would have changed people's opinions on the performance.

Dave do you know how many times Stoke have scored 2 goals away from home in 95 attempts - I think its 10 (and 3 once, at WBA). Therefore the chances of Stoke scoring 2 away are remote, and your post is therefore miles off beam.

stoke were better today but different formation and change of players needed! Whelan was toss again! hes got to be a must sell player along with shotton. Why not palcios and nzonzi in front of the back four and also adam needs to be playing but put him infront of the striker to get the best out of him!! Must win against villa now it just piles the pressure on for us which we dont need! South stand amongst the boothern and the rest, it will be a morgue!! Instead we need get behind the mighty potters and shout untl the throats get sore!!!
CMON YOU RIP ROARERING POTTERS!!

Andy Townsend said after the match,
It has been proved that the tactics away from home do not work, 1 win in 25 proves it,and even though we were not rubbish like normal,we still had no one to creat anything, and no one on the pitch to score an individual goal like Everton and other teams.
The other ex pro on the panel said ok Andy what style can they change to,with the players they have,no pace,no decent wingers and no flair, HE WAS right,we cannot change our style,we havent the players to do it.
BROWN PANTIE TIME,JUST HOPE OTHER TEAMS BELOW US ARE MORE CRAP
