Ben, if your nan remains in hospital tomorrow, assuming that the handcuffs aren't strong enough, I'd be grateful for her ward number. As I'll be coming up early, in order to visit my very poorly cousin at the North Staffs, I could happily combine the two. If home, do give Mabel my and my Aunt Cilbie's love (they were in the Brownies together!) and best wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope that the hospital has a computer in there, for her to improve her newfound skills, or they'll be in trouble!

Last year Mabel came down to join us at the Safe Standing Day at Wycombe Wanderers FC, I'm sure she was by far the oldest supporter joining that campaign. A "true supporter" in every sense of the word. Get well soon, Mabel.

Worked with her for years on Masons Ironstone (Hanley), a lovely more genuine person you could not wish to meet, always had a smile on her face, except when the vale fans were talking rubbish about their weekend performance!! always remained positive where stoke were concerned, a true supporter.
Wishing you a full and speedy recovery Mrs Stoke City

Ben,
Please would you pass on our best from Suzanne and Chris - we used to sit behind Mabel in the John Smith's up until a couple of years ago - i think she'll remember us! Hope she is well soon.

Was shocked to read this, but knowing Mable, she'll make a speedy recovery and be at the Brit tomorrow. Mable always has a half-time draw ticket already ripped from her book when I fetch my Programme and Oatcake from the sellers at the South Car park, and I just can't say no to her, bless her. A FANtastic lady and supporter.

Bit of an update! Nan was hoping to be allowed out so she could watch her beloved potters- apparently the nurse agreed but the Doctor said no! I just hope she can at least watch it on Sky!! All things are pointing towards a full recovery but they are just keeping her in to make sure! Thanks for all the messages of support i will be printing them off and giving them to her! Do it for Nan
