I still dont agree ;D Baines and Fellaini are top quality players, but so are Huth and Shawcross. If you name the best 2 players out of any premier league team they are always going to sound good. I wouldnt be surprised at all if we actually finish ahead of them this season. Time will tell. I think Baines and Fellaini are just a lil bit better. Not much but better none the less. Well yeah and they're part of what make Everton a bit better side than us! I would be, I'd love it but I think Everton should finish in the top 6 this season. You've been listening to TP's post match interview bigging Everton up TP is capable of talking a team of York's ability up so much that he made them sound like Barcelona. They work aaaaarrrrd...nahhh great side nige....great players...managers done a great job....

I'd say Begovic, Shawcross and Huth vs. Howard, Jagielka and Distin are pretty similar in terms of quality, although our players are all coming up to their peak while Everton's are on the wrong side of thirty and need replacing in the not too distant future. Full back wise Baines would walk into most teams, especially ours. N'Zonzi would probably be a great addition to their midfield but in terms of creativity and goals Mirallas, Fellaini, Pienaar and Osman alone have outscored our entire team this season while Jelavic is younger and has a better goal to games average over Crouch since he signed last season. They probably do shit over us in terms of attacking options..but so do Southampton. The fact is if we beat them next week which I expect us to, then we will be ahead of them in the table half way through the season. A Chesterton Ladies Senior Citizen Second XI team would shit over us in terms of attacking options. I think it'll be tough next weekend but we're capable of taking it to them and getting a win. I'd be both amazed and delighted if we finished above Everton this season.

And at the minute have an excellently balanced side that should be respected.

Everton are a far bigger club than us. Looking at our side and there's, there are far more who'd get into our side than vice versa.
I'd like us to try and emulate Allardyce's Bolton and stay solid and direct and physical but incorporate some flair players and pace and actually allow them to express themselves.

We have a far better squad. Unfortunately we dont utilise it correctly. Because if we did we would be in the top 8 right now imo. We dont have a far better squad at all marra.... Howard v Begovic = Begovic for me there Baines v Shotton = Baines all the way Huth v Jagielka = Huth hands down Shawcross v Distin = Ryan by miles Coleman v Cameron = Coleman for me Nzonzi v Fellaini = sorry but Fellaini for me Whitehead v Pienaar = Pienaar by a country mile Whelan vOsman = Osman takes this one Gibson v Etherington = Etherington but not by much Jelavic v Crouch/Jones = Jelavic all day Mirallas v Jones/Jerome = Mirallas for me This is based on the starting line ups from yesterday but you could argue the toss all day but I have to say they are stronger going forward Its all about perceptions of players though I suppose.

Light years behind Everton.
Stature , tradition, support and sleeping support are just a few for starters

Everton's wage bill dwarfs ours. Moyes plays the 'pauper card' very, very, skillfully.

If we want to emulate them it will take a few decades of trophy winning including a few league titles. Not gonna happen. Unless we win every game 1-0......but that would be boring

Everton's wage bill dwarfs ours. Moyes plays the 'pauper card' very, very, skillfully. Given the size of Everton mate and the clubs they should be competing with it probably does dwarf ours but is way behind those? So in reality he is telling the truth?

I don't think anyone is expecting to them to regularly get in the top four mate. They have a big wage bill have a defence that cost bucket loads more than ours and a £15M midfielder and a biggish wage budget. I like Moyes and think he's a good manager but he's had some cracking seasons and a few bang average ones all things considered. I think he plays the media very well because in the odd season they have been awful to watch as well.

I thought the difference would be more to be honest! When a player who isn't their top earner takes a pay cut to go to Arsenal bay I think the difference is stark. Even if those figures are correct a 25% bigger budget isn't to be sniffed at.

Like at Stoke they have a manager who splits the support right down the middle

Everton are shite and I expect us to duff them up Mmmmm... Everton are a good club, have a bloody decent team and top manager, and I hope, and think, they'll get a Europa spot. And Jelavic is one of the most under-rated strikers in the league.
