cheers Alex. If you are still on WSAG please put a link to here on for me. I can't access it for some reason and haven't been able to in ages. Ace folk on there and I want them to know how much I love visiting it.

Dear Bunny
My condolences chum. I met your Dad only once when I was 14: we were playing cricket at St Edwards hospital in Cheddleton. It was Staffordshire Fire Brigade versus Cheshire Fire Brigade. Neither Bunny Senior or me was a member of Staffs F.B. (my old fellla was Staffs F.B.). Your Dad as I remember it was behind the sticks for Burslem Cricket Club (I think).
I told you the story when we met in Austria a couple or so years back on Stoke's training week. I made a mistake then (memory fades): I said I'd bowled him out. No. We were on the same side and Bunny senior was behind the stumps. He gave me great encouragement by complimenting me on a wicket. That 14 year old was dead chuffed with the support.
Your Dad was a lovely man. All the best to your family mate.

Very sad news. RIP Peter. I met him many times at the Gardners for a pint and if it was packed he'd sneak us in the Mich ( Macari years). A great fellow and Antony i think I met you a few times in there when you were a teenager. A cricketer i think. My thoughts go out to the family.

Bunny, you may already have one, but when my dad passed away I got one of those wall of fame bricks done for him, and although the memories of him are always there in your head, I also found extra comfort by visiting that brick, and having a private moment before each home game.
Your dad will be taking his seat in the heavenly boothen with all the other dear departed Stokies who have left us.

Wasn't going to read this Bunny, but when I did I am really glad I did.
What a lovely message about your dad. I hope my lad loves me as much as you clearly love him - altho taking him down the Wolves i doubt it !
Sincere condolences bud. But the best way to go. How ironic he was 72. The year Conroy & Eastham made it such a great year for all Stokies.
Rip.

Sincere condolences Bunny, I remember him well as an ex neighbour in Sneyd Green before you moved away, onwards and upwards to better areas. He was 100% Stoke, cricket, & family - and could rightly be proud of you and your brother and the entire family

There you go dad, 2-1, sweet dreams mate Tonight may have just been a tiny bit of comfort as you go through difficult times. When you go to see him at the Chapel of Rest, tell him how good the game was. I am sure he looked down with pride tonight.

Good to see you briefly on Wednesday Bunny. I didn't realise that your dad had his ST seat above me in the Boothen, although I remember the days when you used to sit there. Sorry I didn't say more when you passed me - I was getting over the shock of you recognising the sheer quality of my Rab down jacket!
