Tones going for pace down the wings, and JP is the slowest. If we're going to play direct counter attacking football then I don't see JP as first choice. In terms of wingers ability. I see Ethers ahead of JP when they're both on top form. JP for me, was a good outlet in that he would go down easy and win us time and set pieces. 12-14 months ago i'd have agreed with you but when was the last time we saw Ethers bombing down the wing taking players on? he just doesn't do that anymore since he came back/was rushed back from that injury pre-cup final

JP Claims they haven't fallen out, so I guess we can only deduce that TP simply prefers brown nosers over talented players? I mean he hung on to absolute donkeys for a long long time. ...and still is. Anyway, back to JP.

I do hate disagreements. Anyway, I did specify when on top form. I agree that Ethers isn't there yet, but he's looking better than last season.

Your right. Of course we should send possibly the best winger at the club out on loan. Get a grip FFS! Yes, best talent, but he's also the most out of form weaselly whiny bellend that we have at the club. But all you teenage 'get a grip' girls stick together, right? At the moment Pennant is useless. i presume you're down training every day to see he's completely out of form and how "Useless" he is? considering he hasn't had a run of games for over 12 months then yes, you must be. to be fair i've never really heard him being a "Weaselly, whiny bellend" either ???

If he had worked harder, drunk less, stopped spouting crap on Twatter, and been less of an all round whiney little shit he would have been playing in Stoke and not Wolverfuckinghampton.
He's only got himself to blame.

Dunno what the situation with him and TP is, but you would assume that some things not right. Either in attitude or application to training.

Just remind me again who it was that led us into the Premier League after 23 years in the wilderness, who it was that took us to an FA Cup Final, who it was that led us into Europe, who it is that's made our club part of the elite and respected footballing establishment. Answers on a postcard please, but the answer certainly isn't the OP. Tony Pulis

Thats that then, if anyone thinks Jermaine will play for Stoke again, they're deluded. Gutted really but he has only got himself to blame his Stoke career has ended like this. He will tear the championship a new arsehole if he gets motivated.
Bye Jermaine.

Dunno what the situation with him and TP is, but you would assume that some things not right. Either in attitude or application to training. could be, although it could be a case of his attitude is now fine and his work in training is now fine but TP is still refusing to let him near the side because of what went on ages ago. that was my point earlier, i just wish TP would let the player serve his punishment then get on with things instead of just stubbornly bearing grudges ad infinitum i genuinely hope he does well at Wolves, he's too good a player to sit around on a bench for 12 months anywhere.just a shame it didn't work out here for whatever reason but i suppose it's no real loss as he hasn't been a regular for so long anyway. these things happen, we can at least move on now (although i suspect we'll have to endure the countless "Pennant scores 20 yard screamer for Wolves, Pulis out!!" threads now that the Demba Ba and Ben Marshall threads seem to have dried up ;D)

Well brilliant for wolves. They get a premier class player and we have kightly who's crap. Makes me laugh when people say he's more of a goal threat. A fluke against reading then done nowt since. He's championship player at best along with Walters. We're going backwards. The question is who will pulis fall out with next?

But Tony's thoughts are way more important than everybody else's. Yeh and doesn't he like making sure everyone knows it. Has he ever posted on a thread not of his making? but where's the fun in that? you just take all the amusement out of needless attention seeking at times ramblers ;D

I would imagine if you said to most managers looking for a 'wide man' , come down to Stoke and take your pick of Etherington, Walters, Pennant, Kightly and Shotton; Pennant would be first choice with most managers.
Such a shame that Pulis hasn't been able to manage the off field stuff that comes with Pennant, then again I'm not sure Pulis ever really managed the on field potential of Pennant.
The real loser here has been Stoke City, as the club has paid out thousands of pounds whilst this little soap opera has dragged on for the last 12 months+

You have to look at the overall team improvement and that is down to players comming in and out. Pennant was always going to be a risk that rocks the boat. Pulis is not the only manger to shift him on!

So we've given Wolves a superior winger on loan to the one we've given them two million quid for. This would have been correct about 18 months ago. Pennant has done nothing to warrant this current outpouring of hero worship for well over a year. Frankly he's been pretty wank when called upon. At last the truth he is yesterdays news

Probably part of the Kightly transfer agreement. Hence why JP hasn't played, to avoid injury.

its a strange one to me.
Pulis said he wanted jarvis at the start of the season.
why didnt he buy both jarvis and kightly for say 13mill for the both of them and in exchange give them pennent?
obv wolves wanted pennent hence him going there. and pulis must have knew 6 weeks ago that pennent was not needed at the club.
We could have just got more out of this situation,
now if kightly gets injured who have we got?. matty 50/50 all the time, walters..., shotton?
again pulis as failed to address a problem1 we need wingers / backup wingers.
why buy edu, owen, ness,. :s

Another example of Pulis not handling talented players and dis-regards them to quickly just so he play his lover and 'Tryer' regardless of form or contribution in Goarrrrrrrn Jon ' fuckin disgraceful decision when JP should be in the team or certainly the bloody squad!!!
Pathetic Pulis

TP constantly reminds us of "THIS FOOTBALL Club" I wish he would treat players as per their FOOTBALL abilities instead, every single year he has picked on someone and ignored others blatant weaknesses or failings. I don't care what Pennant has done off the pitch, I judge him by how he plays football for Stoke City.

Is there a recall on it? I don't want him to go but the way we play now I don't think its as big an issue and it can hopefully be addressed in January.

if it was just about ability im sure Pennant would be a regular, but if Pennant didnt have so many off field problems he would be playing for one of the top clubs and wouldnt come anywhere near a club like ours.
Pennant was a gamble and it paid off for one season then he was back to his old ways, its not just Pulis who couldnt manage him, not one of his managers ever has. He never stays at any club for long.
