Reading to win 1-0, Stoke to play a defensive boring display, with Walters chasing long balls all day and none of the new signings playing because they aren't StokeFit

Got me ticket but will probably end up wishing I'd gone fishing instead and saved myself 50+ notes.
Have absolutely zero expectations other than more of the Pulis same old, same old...
Square pegs - check Cage backpedalling - check 35% possession - check One shot on target - check "It was always gonna' be tough coming here, Nige - Reading are a top, top side..." - check
Apart from that I'm quite optimistic... ;D
1-1

This is why i love football...........
First the realisation.(last week)........oh shit premier league hope we don't get battered maybe we can keep stoke to within one goal and sneak something at the end.....
now the over optimism.(this week)....... for some genuine reason I think we can win by 3 clear goals on Saturday
** no idea where this came from as we didn't win by 3 clear goals all last season**
by the way I will be the one riding my motorbike away from the ground on Saturday probably crying after finding out the realisation is ..... well optimistic after all.......

If we set up properly namely Kightly and Pennant on the wings and Palacios in the middle with Cameron I see us winning. if its the same old dross of Whelan and Whitehead in the middle and Shotton out wide then we lose 1-0, 2-0 and get what we deserve.

If we are going to get anything it will be by the odd goal. Goal scoring problem not been addressed either by new players or change in tactics. So not expecting any change in dire away performances.

Cameron definitely ruled out due to 'red tape' i was looking forward to seeing this guy perform, as i've only heard positive things about him.

The Daily Mail (strong Sentinel connections) says Huth and Pennant are not playing, while Kightly and Ness will be granted their league debuts for Stoke. Also, Cameron is staying stateside, to sort his visa out.

So, if the Mail is to be believed that'll be Ness on the left wing then?!!! He's not a winger though but if it means us setting up a little stronger in midfield and having a left peg outlet then fine, but I just can't see him starting. Is Matty still injured?
