I don't type as fast as you. I'm not being arsey mate, just get a headache when I get caught up in these big debates. You do make a good point re. labelleing people as ignorant. I do see the hypocrisy in my comments. Anyway, my mind is pre-occupied with the match tonight. Nerves are kicking in which is very strange for me with an England game. And I'm not Muslim before you ask i have also modified my original post which you quote above to apologise too know what you mean about the match, shall we just get a room, watch it together and make up (if you say no then you're homophobic ) ;D And I'm the one who gets called a Rimmer!!!

Foxy, I want to apologise for my outburst yesterday - though that doesn't mean that it won't happen again in one of the Rimmer v PHW threads.
What I'd like to know now, is if this sex sandwich you've got planned with Mick is invitation only, or can anyone join?

All this talk about the crusades is irrelevant though. Surely they are dressing up as St.George not crusaders? Two completely different things. He has just chosen to see Crusaders where there are none. If they were dressing up as St George they'd be dressed as a 3rd century Roman Tribune (senior army officer), not a 12th century knight. This is pedantry of the worst kind, and I apologise for it. To be even more of a pendant, the individuals concerned are wearing the "costume" of St George as depicted in 12C and renaissance art. The common image is of him slaying a dragon, wearing a knights armoury and the red cross as per the national flag. Hence the confusion..... To be honest, I found the article to be slight repulsive and full of self importance. To slate individuals about what they are wearing and yet have no comment on other nations wear is a bit off. Furthermore, this purely opens a can of worms when there are none to be had. The idea of football is to unite behind one team, a common bond despite where you are from or your beliefs. I support Germany and as long as the other person next to me is a fellow support be he Catholic (I'm a lutheran), Islamic, Black, yellow, blue, gay trans..... or even a BVB fan (spit) I will jump for joy, scream in displeasure and cheer the team on alonside him/her as a fellow fan. The author needs to have a long look at his own personal issues before spouting to a mass audience. He could have made some good insight in the integration of fans, especially in comparisons to the past and things to improve in the future. Unfortunately it came across as crass, hypocritical in content and did not really address the issues he was trying to portray.

Were they better days than today when "wogs" can abuse us in our streets and nobody says a thing. FFS this country is absolutely knackered most can all see the problems but all to repressed and frightened to say what they are and sort them out. There is a saying about calling a spade a spade where has freedom of speech gone to ? as for the thread well if a dog is born in a stable is he therefore entitled to be called a horse. What choices do the people of Syria enjoy? If I want to dress as a crusader, drink lots of alcohol ,while munching a sausage roll I will , Im not doing it to offend anyone .the fact is Muslims would love to have sharia law in this country I loath there arrogance I'm not remotely interested . I'm not interested in them , their religion ,their clothes , their culture , their food or arranged marriages.
Like wise , they feel the same. I don't care a flying fuck what he thinks! Cunts like him will continue to fuck this country over as long as the pc dogooders let them. So basically the country is fucked!Theres a selection mate. I can't really be arsed to say why I think they are ignorant. Some more so than others. I just generally dislike labelling all people of a religion, colour, race, etc as the same. I know/have known a good few Muslims. All different and all unique. Some were twats, some were sound. Just like the "English" people I know/have known. Well I have to say I missed the first one, which let's face it speaks for itself. How that hasn't been removed I have no idea. I think there is an element of truth in the second one, even though it will be from the extremists. The third is an opinion he is entitled to I suppose. I don't think it's ignorant, just a bit sad. And there isn't much I can disagree with you about the 4th. H You would need to read the context in which the first one was replying to a post instead of selected replys/comments. I stand by my comments on the state of this country these are my opinions I should have realised that in this multi cultural society that we live in that some are more equal than others, make of that what you will.

Religion of any creed is no longer required in our society. It was invented out of ignorance, hijacked and abused by megalomaniacs and was and still is used as a form of mass population control and a tool for inciting hatred. As such to claim to be offended by anything as being against your religion is utterly absurd. Religion is an abstract concept and ultimately totally flawed. There is no God, there is no Allah, there are no other physical or etheral beings that are gods - whilst there may have been a human being named Jesus walking around in Israel two thousand years ago - he was not the son of God. Mary was not a virgin mother. Moses did not part the red sea. Mohammed did not ride a flying horse- and don't get me started on Buddha or Ganesh either. There. I said it. Prove me wrong. Good post and you know you can't be proved wrong on any of it religion is all about faith I suppose and I don't have any , but why we are debating it on here is beyond me

www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/jun/12/euro-2012-england-fan-muslim-crusadesManchester United fan/Guardian writer massively misses the point and lays into England fans who dress up as St. George. He claims that they're dressed up ''as Knights Templar hordes'' ...''to brandish a sword and recall the brutal and bloody invasion of Muslim lands is portrayed as harmless banter'' Symptomatic of the hand wringing sensitivity from the 'nu football fan'? Should we now avoid making two fingered gestures as they may upset Frenchmen who might've had ancestors on the field at Agincourt? Or does he have a valid point? Valid point.

Has anyone said I'm not racist as I have black/Asian friends yet? I was a carnation wearing guest at a Walima do recently, and sat at the head table, so I can't be racist, and that's despite me telling my very good Asian friend that I would vote BNP if he didn't stop having kids! OS.

Right then. Here is my take on the whole racism issue. I was born in 71 and therefore grew up with people of all colours of skin. Black, brown, yellow(ish) and white. As far as I am concerned non of these people are different to me. This is the reason I see calling someone a black, white, brown etc twat as no different to calling someone ginger, fat or ugly. They are just words. Now when you treat someone different because of religion or because they are from another country etc then that as I see it is a form of racism. I suppose I can be called racist because I don't like some people. These include Welsh, Muslims (the hatred preaching ones), Pakistanis (the ones I have regular contact with are just horrible bastards), French, Polish and ENGLISH! The truth is there are good and bad in all races regardless of the colour of someones skin. I don't care what colour they are if I don't like them then I just don't like them. If this makes me racist then fair enough but it is just my opinion.
P.S. I have never called anyone any of the language that I have been accused of on this thread.

It's never been a question of what I think of other races ,rather how people from other cultures respect our way of life in the uk. When I visit other countries with a muslim culture I expect to follow their laws and traditions.they have zero tolerance for many aspects of western behaviour and I always accept that .i have lived and worked in London for 40 years in a very cosmopolitan work place and enjoy its diversity very much . I just think our way of life is the way we want it to be and we shouldn't be made to feel we are being racist for not wanting fall into line with the pc brigade

Do you really think anyone's really going to fall for your 'I'm actually not a racist' routine? I will speak only on behalf of myself, but I only need to look at your post history to see what kind of a person you are. Greyman got it spot on when he said that as soon as any muslim related threads pops up you're like a 'tramp on chips'.... especially the tramp part. And if you want to know about why it offends me? It's because I know more muslims than you'll ever likely to know and I'm fed up of reading your uninformed, uneducated, shite, every time a thread like this pops up.

Just because you don't like a subject being discussed it doesn't mean it should be removed from the board.
