A friend who i go to with has been told he was the 8,500th pledge by Tim Gallimore today and has been invited to shake hands etc with the board before kick off. No reason for him to lie but i know most of you will not recognise me as a regular poster and not believe it anyway. So anyhow, there's my contribution today anyway!

He didn't pledge today, only got the call today, he dropped the pledge of yesterday

like a lot have said lately mate well probably end up with more season ticket sales that we got pledges but yeah i agree i did expect more pledges

Personally, i think we will achieve around about 9000 season tickets come to selling them. Well done Stoke fans and well done to the board.

M'Boro have 25k season ticket holders wooo Yeah, but their average attendance aint much higher than that! Most of there fans are s.t holders. could that mean that we'll only get a couple of k+ on our S.T total???

The Potters Pledge campaign is over. All the forms are in and we are ready to reveal the final figure!
This will be done before our home game against Ipswich on Tuesday evening.
Have we hit our target of 8,500 pledges? Club chairman Gunnar Þór Gíslason will be on the pitch to reveal the final figure just before kick-off - so make sure you arrive early and are in your seat ready for this exciting event!
The support for the campaign to deliver our proposed special season ticket prices for 2004/05 aroused terrific interest and received tremendous support.
We thank you for your co-operation and your efforts!

I think we must have done it if they are announcing live on the pitch before the game. You can hardly imagine GG standing in the centre circle saying:
"Now we will reveal how many pledges we have recieved over the last 3 weeks. Can we have a countdown please...10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..........ohhhhhhhhh hard luck Stokies. That's 8499 pledges we have recieved, just one short of the target. Payments for the £400 season tickets can be paid by credit card or cheque. And again, hard luck Stokies"
Not very likely is it? ;D ;D

it sounds like we've done it but then again the Sentinel says that we were a few hundred short on Friday but were waiting on the rush of post or summart but it doesn't say we've actually done it just that we're expected to have.

Ange, judging by the first post on this thread we have definately done it. The story on the Official site also suggests we have - they wouldn't be thanking Stokies for their support and then announce to 14,000 people tonight that we had failed.
My guess for the final figure is close to 9,000 and we might even sell more discounted STs than that.
