I'm pretty sure it's 65-66, give or take a year. Can anyone confirm this? It was quite a long way before my time. ;D

EDIT: Fair do's March, it must be then - I didn't think Stan was playing for the first team in '65 but I guess he didn't have to be to be on the picture.

Wait thought everything was black and white back then? Instant colour pictures were introduced by Polaroid in 1963 so somebody must have had a posh new state of the art camera ;D

Just checked Stan's wiki:
"He spent the 1964–65 season playing for the reserve side. His only first team appearance of the season was also the last Football League game of his career; it came on 6 February 1965, just after his 50th birthday, and was necessitated by injuries to both Peter Dobing and Gerry Bridgwood."

Has to be 65-66 because Big John and Lawry Leslie left in 66 whereas Roy Vernon and Harry Burrows joined in 65. I am sure I had this picture from Typhoo Tea packet tokens.

According to wiki ... Harry Burrows signed in March '65 and Stan's testimonial was in April '65.
March or April '65 then?

In the picture, back row, there are 11 players, but only 10 names. The one in the green shirt is not named, who is he ? Maurice Setters is the one peeping out at the back, Calvin Palmer is to his left. Is it O'Neil ?
