Hi Mate
Lots of respect for having the strength to share your tragic tragic loss.
I have a 19 year old son season ticket holder and the thought of there being an empty seat next to me doesn't bare thinking about.
He can be a complete pain at times but your loss makes be realise he can be a pain all he wants.
I don't pray im not into all that but my thoughts are with you and your family and I will inform my son so he can take a moment pre kick off during the Gary Speed minute applause to also have a private thought for your son. as unlike your son he will be at Everton today. Although a pain he is also a sensative lad and I know he will be upset over this news.
Once again thanks for having the strength and posting and making a moaning old git realise what I have.

This is the most awful news, and as a dad my heart goes out to you. I do have an idea of your pain. I lost my own lad ( aged 24 ) at this time of year about 5 years ago, and there's no pain like it! I wish there was something I could say which would make it easier. A parents love can last forever and am sure your lad knew that, God bless matey!

Terrible tragedy . My two kids mean the world to me and i simply cant imagine losing either of them. Deepest condolences to you and your family and I hope you are given the strength to get through the next few weeks when your emotions are so raw.

Truly awful. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to you, all the family, and close friends. Thank you for telling us. I lost my wife many years ago, and the messages of condolences on 'The Oatcake' meant a lot to me. I hope you find some small comfort from your fellow Stokies whose thoughts are with you now.

My hope is that you take some comfort from all the posts on here and let that grow into something deep inside that carries you through this. Your son would want you to have a worthwhile life from this point on - and whenever you enjoy yourself in future remember that without any guilt. You owe it to him to get through this as best as you can. Take care mate - a lot of people are thinking of you and your family...
