went to the brit on a bit of a freebee a couple of years ago it was a carlsberg trade do,the guest speakers were hudson, banks and jimmy,each one did a short speech recounting their playing days etc,during jimmys spot he got around to talking about his transfer to united,half way through he had to stop and compose himself as he was getting very emotional,i found this really touching after so many years,i even got to chat and have a photo with him, believe you me he really loves our football club.

Wonderful to see that Jimmy is not forgotten. Thanks for all your memories; he certainly is a Stoke City legend. I was 9 years old when he signed and almost 17 when he left; so basically, Jimmy was part of my whole childhood as regards being a Stoke City supporter. My God, he really was a delight to watch.
