anyone remember these?
There is a clip of Iggy Pop at the start- shame they didn't show the TOTP clip where he mimed to 'Real Wild Child' intentionally out of synch live
However, there were 3 great moments on 'Saturday Superstore'- remembered as a kid- The Matt bianco insult which fair play they thought was funny- the guy who insulted 5 star (watch the guy on the right who was later done for indecency in a public toilet I believe), the one I remember the most was Capt Sensible completely pissed- Mike Read trying to laugh it off.
Forgot how much I hated Sarah Greene

Don't want to be pedantic...but I will anyway the Iggy Pop one was on an ITV Saturday kids show called No. 73. It was still a great moment of daftness though!! Matt Bianco was class yes. Of a similar ilk was once Aswad were doing a live phone in on BBC1 and were told very graciously "thank you for all the great music you've made down the years." Thats very dignified. It continued, "I was just wondering, what do you think about twats?"

Disagree Joe
The Iggy Pop one was his very first ever TOTP appearance unless he did a similar thing on another show- can remember Steve Wright's face
Was a collection on the web of great TOTP clangers- one where the group Shalamar think it was where the song was playing but no band- just an empty stage.
One member of Legs and CO's bra came undone
Roger Daltrey ' backs to the wall it's the Village people' as a guest presenter and Kenny Everett inroducing Julio Greasyarse
Of course forgot the classic Dexy's 'Jackie Wilson said'

Kevin Keegan presented it once and he had a great time! TOTP that is. Less creepy than Jimmy Saville anyway.

Always remember the first time I saw a CD on Tomorrow's World
There's a show on here a lot with Robert Lindsay in and some real odd looking bird with spiky hair
He was class in 'Extras'
Was his girlfriend Shirl in 'Citizen Smith' the girl who played Del's girlfriend in OFAH or am I mistaken?
The Dad changed twice-wasn't one Harry Grout from 'Porridge'

Thr Robert Lindsay show you refer to is probably called My Family. Bafflingly popular. Does nothing for me. The spiky hair one is Zoe Wannamaker. Confusing that two highly established actors like Lindsay and Zoe do such unfunny schitt.
Shirl in CS was Cheryl Hall who was Robert Lindsays wife at the time. I only remember her appearing in Eastenders after that.
Peter Vaughan was Shirls dad and is ace. He was Felix in Our Friends in the North and Peter Sellers dad in The Life and Death of Peter Sellers.

The Peter Sellers film was fantastic. It wasn't eligible for Oscars though because it was an HBO made for TV type thing. It go Golden Globes though. Geoffrey Rush is brilliant. He comes form near here.

Baffled me why he wasn't nominated- explains it
Never realised he was Australian, always thought he was Irish to be honest
Was never a fan of Peter Sellers , 'The Party' the one film did enjoy, just thought the film was fantastic.

Yeah can't disregard Sellers talent but much of his humour didn't appeal to me either. The tales of his unpleasantness are genuine and legendary though. He was a very interesting man but not a very nice one. His kids didn't really want the film to be made but Geoffrey Rush attended a showing with them before it was realeased and the kids told him the depiction was absolutely spot on.
Peter Sellers was obsessed with Being There for many years. I wonder if he envied the simplicity of Chance's life. Sellers was obsessive about his work to the point of self loathing.
