My daughter and I are on Aerosvit flight VV226 from Gatwick on Wednesday landing at 19.40, and staying at the Dnipro hotel (which appears to be less than half a mile from the ground). Anyone else on that flight and/or staying in that hotel ? If so, how are you planning to get from the airport ?

925 from Bham to Amsterdam, 1140 from Amsterdam Weds, get in Borispol for 1620? Happy days, got 2 tkts today - never even asked to show proof of flight/hotel or anything, girl just took season tkt numbers and £18!!!!!!!!! Get in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot wait - staying at Theatre-Apart hotel? Apartment looks very posh, although knowing our luck it will be like something from 'Hostel' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey! Probably, it s a flight not to Borispil, but to airport-Kyiv (the smaller one)!
It s IN the city!
If you are with Pricey - you may look for a route I described to him earlier in this thread!

I'm going for public transport if possible. Not sure where Hotel Lybid is compared to where I'm staying (Den....any idea?) but I'm guessing it must be fairly central.
I'm up for this kick-about as well if we can get enough people. I'll send Volvic and Den my number. Bring it on.

Thanx, guys!! It s a pleasure to help you! About the Kyiv-Stoke match: It s REALLY GREAT idea! About Lybid-hotel, Ibis & Prorizna Str.: Lybid-hotel & Ibis-hotel are in a ~200m distance! VERY close! But Prorizna Str. is closer to the centre & to the ground. It s in about 1 km from Lybid & Ibis. To those guys, who prefer public transport: the most popular ways to get around in Kyiv are underground (fixed price = 2 UAH) and minibuses ("marshrutka"). There are very few buses & trolleybuses. Most of people use minibuses (average price = 2,5 UAH). You can get from Lybid or Ibis to the Khreschatik Str. (the main in Kyiv and close to Prorizna Str.) by minibus (about 10-15 minutes depends of traffic). Very convinient! |

Congratulations to Stokies!!! 1-0 vs Liverpool is GREAT result! Now! IMPORTANT INFO! We (me & Volvic) would like to arrange a friendly football match between Kyiv and Stoke supporters at about 3 pm Thursday! I ve arranged a FREE gym in one of Kyiv schools for it, but maybe it s better to play it outdoor (as I said before, I know couple of places in the centre)! SO! All the Stokies, who d like to participate - that s an invitation letter! P.S. Those who won t play are obliged to drink beer. |
