Alright there. Swiss based Vale fan here, thought I'd give yer a few tips. 1. If you want to save money then beer in the supermarkets is fairly cheap. A 50cl tin of beer will cost you something like 60 pence. Best supermarkets are Denner and Co-op, there's another popular supermarket chain called Migros but they don't sell booze. If yer on a budget then best bet would be to pick up some tins and then drink them near the ground. 2. It'll be alcohol free beer in the ground, they don't always advertise this though. 3. At the ground you'll be able to get a wurst with bread and mustard, these are good value - give 'em a go. 4. There's a big Turkish population over here, this means the kebabs are generally very good - conner go wrong there. 5. The Swiss police dunner mess around - try not to annoy them. Enjoy yerselves. Cheers for that, mate. Stigger Foley says sorry about your leg by the way

My wonderful, darling Wife rang me today and told me to get myself over to Thun on Thursday. After picking myslelf off the floor I rang Thompsons who told me they have plenty of seats available for the day trip flight out of Manchester at 07.45. Booked it over the phone and I've had an e-mail from them with all the deatils. I didn't fancy driving to and from Birmingham airport in the wee small hours on the Sport Options trip. I can now have a kip on the coach to and from the Brit! I'll be on me tod in Thun so I may need to hold someone's hand in case I get lost! I'd better start cooking the tea, hoovering up, mowing the lawn etc, etc, etc............... Nice one, Stan! Was it you who took Bunny's flag to Split?

Any idea if there will be points to charge a phone on there? Hoping it's a slightly luxury coach, or my iPhone will die before we leave Stoke!

twitter.com/#!/TSorensen1 Have landed safely in Switzerland and checked in at our hotel. Lovely place with the Eiger and Jungfrau peaks in the background.
Training 5.30pm at FC Thun stadium and a first taste of the artificial pitch that awaits us. Hopefully we can adapt quickly
