Right - the old 8mm vid camera is goosed in terms of recording, so can anyone recommend a VFM Digital CamCorder? Budget is £200-ish - don't know whether to get Digital Tape, Dard Disk or DVDs - I'm more of a Stills man mysef, so any advice is welcome.

Cheers folks. Our old 8mm is Sony, so I've gt no probs sticking with them. Are ther any pros/cons between DVD or DV Tape cameras?
What's the recording time of a DVD compared with tape?

To be honest,my only little gripe with DVD is that the discs only hold about 20 mins in High Quality and 30 mins in short play mode, without having to change disc,or turn over if you have double sided discs. However a plus point is you can stick it straight in your dvd player and play it,even creates a basic chapter menu.

Is this stuff marked as on sale in Stores only or will it be available online. Is it just A-V goods or other stuff as well? (the mrs wants a condenser dryer) .
