from smudge's first post
I can recall nothing but sodding technical problems over the last 2 years , did we ever find out the name/names of the players that were being libeled that caused the initial shut downs of Rivals

Some player was in a sticky situation, and got a court injunction to stop it coming out in the press, but it started doing the rounds on the internet and he had very good lawyers, all the football messageboard networks got letters saying if their clients were libelled on the networks the networks could be sued ....... as a result Rivals shut themselves down for a bit when they realised it was almost impossible to keep a check on it all .
So we ended up on here

Just kidding Dave (as one can tell from the smilies). Seriously though; I thought he got summat (a few pence a hit?) from the activity on the Oatie Rivals site. Or is that just idle chatter among us know-nothings who use the m/b?

He used to I believe, a long while back, but now its a flat fee as far as I am aware .
if it was a few pence a hit, he'd be a millionare fella. it can get 300,000 hits on a busy day , which would be £3K at 1p a hit ..........
