The Aussies seem to be the new Yanks in goalkeeping terms. Just like the Yanks a few years ago the Aussies are supplying keepers to loads of clubs around Europe Off the top of my head I can think of five academies sporting keepers from Oz. The most famous was Dean Bouzanis at Liverpool. Proclaimed by Benitez as the best keeper in the world in his age group after a couple of trial sessions. He was released by Dalglish in the summer and is now second or third choice at Sydney I think. I guess some of it must be to do with their own too sports being ball and hand orientated. It is certainly to do with the sports Academy set up they have. They produce and Market players very well. We won't have required a scout in Oz. They will have found us. Hell of a gamble if the foreign keeper armada have moved here without guaranteed pro deal involved. I have to say I wouldn't do it particularly as nearly every other club would throw in pro terms to attract foreign academy recruits. Good luck to them and let's hope we can save ourselves a lot of money ( or make some) further down the road.

They lost 2-0 to Chasetown at the weekend, the team according to a Chasetown fan on Twatter was; Eve, Roberts-Nurse, Hall, Dawson, "Trialist", O’Reilly, Bosman, "Trialist", Rossi, Clarkson, Musungu So that's a centre back and central midfielder for the "trialists" I'd imagine. Is that Ivory Coast lad a central midfielder? And where's Tunji? www.chasetown-fc.com/index.php/component/content/article/3-team/806-scholars-sink-stoke-as-steadman-scoresMatch report here.

Will be doing match report for today's game hopefully.
Get a few words from the lads too.
Eve scares me, purely because of his hair. Bachmann is very nice too, watched them 2 train a bit before.

2-2.
A different team each half.
Dale Eve howler gave them the goal to go ahead. Took too long and booted it against #9's arse and it went in.
Will a trialist from Sweden scored within 2minutes, he is fucking awesome. Pace/skill and plays RW, winger/forward.
Smajl looked okay, a few misplace passes being nervous but set up the equaliser.
2nd goal was scored by Ross, took it well after good 1-2. Neat player.

Striker signed in the summer.
Switzerland U17(I guess U18 next season) and very strong, powerful, decent on the ball.
Had about 5 chances, inches wide on one. Well saved another.
Took his goal very well after a 1-2 with Suljevic.

Trained with the first team on Monday. Will know more when he plays more.
Very nice guy, sat with me at the end and gave me the names of the players I didn't know.
2 different teams out and a lot of trialists.
Could of got 3 or 4 today though. Him and Tunji will compete for the target man/striker role.

Only played first 45 and a bit of the 2nd.
Defence didn't half much to do. First goal was quick lob through and chip from striker, second goal was Dale Eve booted it at the strikers arse and it rolled in.

I've just been the gym and there were fucking shit loads of Stoke youth teamers. We've surely had a massive recruitment drive? Teaming with the little beggers! Actually, most of them were massive.

I know about Linus, he scored. He is very very good. Pacey, very skillfull, beat the left back numerous times and is very dangerous. The other guy , Victor Nillsonn Lindelof I don't know about. We had a midfielder(Swede) but the lads told me his name was Will. ;D Jamaican winger on trial called Omar Holness also played.

Will was good, but I like Sjoberg because he was exciting. Never stopped wanting to attack and take on the opposition.
Will(or Linelof whoever he is) ;D, played midfield first half, but then a bit further up second and played really high up.
