I've not posted on this thread previously , because to be honest trying to do so makes me fill up and I 've struggled to find the words that would do Marg justice.
I've lost someone I'm proud to call a friend , and Stoke have lost one of it's finest and most loyal supporters.
From the countless times I'd arrived to cadge a lift on the away coaches with a minute to spare, true she'd certainly let me know I was in the wrong and trying it on..but only because I was..and not to do it again...only to smile and help me out the next time..not once did she let me down...
To in more recent times sharing trips to Austria for pre-season where if I hadn't realised it before I certainly found out then ,what a fun loving , warm and special lady and Stokie Marg really was.
RIP Marg , keep taking the photos

So sorry to hear the sad news. Margaret was always pleasant and helpful to me as an exile. Had a few words with her at the semi final. I will always have a soft spot for her.

If you remember, Margaret first got her job at Stoke as a receptionist in the showroom that was set up showing computer images of the Plans for the new Britannia Stadium. She then went on to gain full time employment in the ticket office for many years.
I will always remember her for organising the away trips for the "Family coach". I would only need to ring her and say "My usual 4 please Marg", and she would just say "Yes Kev, no probs." Along with Mabel and Diane, she would ensure that a good time was had by all win or lose, and even arranged for us to spend time in some away executive suites with other club's Junior fan prior to some games.
Glad to see you at the FA Cup Final Marg.R.I.P.

I never realised how long and wide her influence reigned. I am in Sales and was always impressed how she recognised your voice on the phone like a friend and sorted out whatever your demands living out of area. I felt I had a special relationship and gave her a present every Christmas. I hardly knew her but such was the power of the woman.

My finest memory of Margaret was away at QPR 5 or 6 years ago and a couple of our younger daft element were trying to give it large to a few QPR fans after the game. Margaret waded in with a few slaps to the heads of our youngsters and told them to get on the coach and stop being stupid, which they quickly did. RIP Margaret A true Stokie

Sad news indeed, my early recollection of Margaret was the away coaches in the 80's where she kept order and looked out for us young uns. Over the years she sorted tickets when I was working in London. No nonsense lady with a heart of gold. She will be missed. Steve d

A sad day. Our thoughts are with the family. Quite a few of the older Tenerife Stokies knew Margaret and pass on their condolences at this difficult time.
