Alan Smith was always going to be in the England squad this time around as Sven is honouring a promise to him. When Smith was selected for the last squad but then withdrawn the day after following the bottle throwing incident, Sven promised he would be in the next squad to make up for it. In the squad because of promise!!! How fucking ridiculous. That means it doesn't matter if Smith had played absolutly wank, been sent off three times and thrown a bomb into the crowd instead of a bottle, he still would of been in the squad. Does this mean we could start seeing some of Sven's mates in the England squad soon because they got pissed with him on a Saturday night and he promised to do them a favour. When a fucking mockery that makes of earning an England cap!!!!

No, if he'd had done those things he wouldn't have been selected. Cause the same principal would have applied. If you're banned at club level, the FA make a point of you not being allowed to play at international level.
Like England Caps have only just been de-valued!!! They're not ten a penny these days or anything are they ;D

Alan Smith is a hooligan - He needs to be playing in the conference, that way if he throws a bottle it will go straight over the stand (especially Exeter's away end) ;D

Engalnd forward stats this season (playing for club):
Vassell: 7 goals in 28 games Rooney: 4 goals in 29 games Smith: 6 goals in 25 games Heskey: 8 goals in 31 games Owen: 11 goals in 21 games
Who is blowing hot & cold Sheffield Stokie?
And I think you will find Owen has scored in his last two L'pool games.

Calm down calm down!!
Just come back from injury. Again. It's only a friendly - chance to look at other players. Vassell hadn't scored this seaon until the new year and is currently the in form striker. Owen didn't exactly do a lot last night did he?

Thats harsh - I thought he played very well when he had the ball to his feet and as usual his movement was excellent - he was unlucky with that first-time lob/volley too. Rooney did fuck-all and has scored less goals this season - why not have a go at him?
What do you class as form any way - as I said, 2 goals in his last 2 games - not bad.

Did I say rooney played well? I thought he did OK down the left but didn't threaten much. Think Vasell has got 6 in his last 8 or 9 games? like I said I thought he deserved a chance (as it happened he had some illness). Owen is a very good player when he's on his game I'm not disputing that.
