just watched it again, what a fcuking great day out that was. Brilliant following, and it comes across really well on the highlights, you can hear the stokies loud and clear, even straight after the Forest goals. I know people say that the atmosphere at away games is picking up again, but to me, that's the standard we should be aiming to achieve again. The 'Lou' factor is a strange phenomonen though, difficult to imagine Tone generating the same amount of fervour, no matter how well he does. I hope he can though...Tone and Ade as the new Lou and Steino...I'll drink to that

You have to remember that those away days we had a team that was high in confidence and that meant the fans were also high in confidence and high in numbers.
Since our last relegation the only sustained run of good form was the first play-off year under Gudjon. Other than that we'd have a good win followed by a shocker. So the fans have never really been able to get excited (other than now).
I've not got the book handy now, but it would be interesting to compare the position and points we had in 95/96 with how we are now. If we can can get through this month pretty much unscathed I reckon we have a possibility of a play-off place. It's very tight though.
I remember the Blackpool and Burnley away games the season before with such fond memories.

Just watched them. It looked a cracking day. Stein's second was a belter.
Great freekick from Peirce too.
