Hi all. First, Smudge, this thread is so important that it would be a crime to send it to Everything else, because how can this golden liquid be branded as something else and if you send it to the boring bin then i will simply have to jump on the next plane and knock your head in! ;D So.. what is your favourite single malt whiskey? Personally I loooove Glendronach 15 year old, the taste is simply out of this world. So golden, so tasty so delicous, and what a hangover you get! My second fav. is the pride of Islay. Laphroig 10 year old. Tastes like a wet sheep, with a hint of an old paved street. Chheeerss, Snowy McIce

Mine would be any whiskey that can be found in coffee made of milk that stores itself in a Thermos and is sampled at half time on a cold January day.
(It might stay in here now I've given it a football feel)

I have a rather 'perky' Glen Moray that I bring out from time to time. Too good to be wasted in coffee! I don't want to be 'mellow' at a football match so stick to beer on Satdee afternoons ;D

MCF
To be honest, i'm really shocked. Why wasting all the good whiskey by mixing it with milk and coffee? ???
It's been aged to perfection in oak caskets for a decade or more and you waste it! Shame on you! ;D

Scottish whisky is best served in coffee as you can't taste it as much, a bit like calling Coffee Mate, milk really Preston's of Drogheda is undoubtedly the finest whiskey available

Whisky tastes of piss.
Can't drink any spirit but Vodka.
More of a lager man meself. And I haven't had one of those since New Years Eve.
I had the foresight to bet my wife I could go without a drink until our new baby is born (April). (She moans I drink too much. I say you can never drink TOO much.)
Me and my bloody big mouth.

Must admit never seen the attraction in it either.
Now Tequila I don't mind at all
Don't understand folk who pick a particular whisky and then put coke in it ???

There are plenty of excellent and well-read threads on the 'Everything Else' section of this site... this has the potential to be another one of them! ;D

PS ~ As someone who has over 70 different bottles of Scotch Whisky in his house I am very keen on this subject.
My own personal current favourite (and I go through phases) is Lagavullin. Got quite a kick to it!

Dave...was in a hotel in London about 2 years ago and this Yank asked for the best whisky they had, he then asked for 4 glasses of it with coke and ice in ???
kind of confused me.
Bit like asking for a good wine and putting 7up in it.
