Maybe now he will piss off back to Canada - and he can take that foul-mouthed, horse-faced tennis player with him!
And before anyone plays the racism card - I just dont agree with British sporting authorities pinching commonwealth countries best talents & labelling them as British.
The same applies to footy, where if the most tenous link to one of the home nations can be found, they are eligible to play for them.
My hat goes off to Tommy Miller of Ipswich this week who said he was not sure of accepting a Scotland call-up because he "does not feel Scottish" (he had a Scottish grandmother). He knows he will never play for England but is big enough to turn down an offer from the tartan twats.

What on earth are you talking about? Lennox was born in Britain (London) and his family emigrated to Canada. He fought in the Olympics for Canada, where he lived and turned pro and fought for the COUNTRY OF HIS BIRTH and won the British title.
Lewis is possibly one of the greatest living British sportsmen of his generation , undoubtedly in the greatest 10 heavyweights of all time. Those f4ckwits who boo-ed him v that pillock Bruno were no doubt amongst the 13,000 who saw him beat the best candidate the USA had to offer on their own patch.
What has Tommy Miller got to do with representing the country of his grandparents birth got to do with lennox representing the country HE WAS BORN IN.
Unbelievable

The guy sounds Canadian to me, but if he wants to fight for England, then I cant see why its a problem, hes good and he certainly aint gonna do us any harm, its when shit sportsmen adopt us (Greg Rusedski) that it gets a bit silly !! Go and be shit for Canada "HORSE FACE"

In all fairness if he spent his childhood there he will sound Canadian.....really does get my back up when folk go on about him not being British. Have been a huge fan of Lennox since he turned pro and watched him fight his way up to the British title, all that time we had to listen to nonsense about Bruno this and that, a completely average fighter who never beat a top 10 ranked fighter in his career. Lennox fought for Canada in the olympics, big deal, to label him something that British sporting authorities stole from a Commonwealth country is nonsense. Zola Budd etc of course, that is a completely different scenario.
Joe Bugner was once labelled as a heavyweight British contender (God forbid) a Hungarian born fighter. Later became Aussie Joe which was quality.
We have sod all world class sportsmen as it is without getting on their back and telling them to "piss off back to Canada".
Lennox is and always will be a British boxing and world legend.
Shame some can't see that. The bloke was awesome ...even the Yanks admit that he was the best of his generation.
Apology for the rant Homer J....I hope u just didn't realise he was actually English and if so ok. Am a big Lewis fan and think we were lucky to have him and just wish he'd been more appreciated. BBC declined to take his fights concentrating on the biggest laughing stock in boxing instead. Respect to Sky for giving the great man the recognition he deserved.

Lewis is the best heavyweight fighter of my lifetime (I was born in 1978) and I'm glad that he has retired now, before age really catches up with him. Sadly, I've not seen as many of his fights live as I would have liked to, (thank you SKY for "Pay per view", you robbing bastards) but I've still seen enough to recognise greatness.
Tyson at his peak was awesome, but I'd still bet on Lewis to beat him, even if it was the 20 year old "animal" version of Tyson, rather than the thirty-something has been that he faced when they finally met. Lewis has beaten just about everybody of note in his generation (apart from Roy Jones Jr...who isn't really a heavyweight and may even have gone back down to light heavyweight now?) and as JR says, should rightfully be regarded as one of the best heavyweights of all time.

They had a poll on Sky, asking who was the best of all time. What bollox. Ali and Marciano were the best in their day, Lennox has been the best in his day. All they could do was beat the blokes who were put in front of them. What's the point in saying that Ali would have beaten Lennox. If Ali had been around today, he would probably have been favourite to win. But all sportsmen (and women) raise their game when they have to.
