I get the impression it got corporate a while ago. John Peel said in 1995 he was depressed because for the first time ever he had smelt after shave at Glastonbury!

Bloody hell.....for me a festival should be about a 'buzz' recieved by the masses from those performing. Queen with some look-a-likey singer...no. Paul McCartney...no. Prince...no. Oasis...maybe if they did a greatest hits set, but they won't because their new album comes out this year...no. They are the 'headliners' then are they?!

So I'm told by the BBC. And they wouldn't get anything wrong. Erm...

I'll go on a hunt for good bands playing and report back later.
Wish me luck, I'll probably need it...unless Muse are there of course! ;D

Yeah I loved the Pixies but that was then and this is now.
I don't really do reunions.
Leave it as a happy memory, that's my motto.

I agre with your sentiment Glenn, but I think I will be drawn like a moth to a flame where the Pixies are concerned. Depends on the venues too.
I know it wont be like the old days, but I cant help it!
As for the compilation, "Wave of mutilation" - it has already been done with "Death to the Pixies". And thanks to the fairly recent releases of "B-sides" & "the Purple tape" I thought they had released every song they recorded?
The DVD sounds good though, although I already have the "Gouge" documentary on video.

I thought they were all dead? I remember going to Worthy Farm back in the good old days before Glastonbury to see The Only Ones. Must only have been about 1000 people there. Great gig. ;D

I'd love to have seen The Only Ones live, before my time but some great songs and PP's voice is just the dogs bollocks. If it was anything like that Live LP they released it must have been a good un.

Dom, Saw some other bands there too - it just escapes me at the moment who they were. Did help as we used to get in for free - our friends had the farm next door ;D

It's only three shit bands after all. There's plenty of other stuff. I didn't see a single band on any of the main stages last year - still had a brilliant time.
