I'm sitting here @ 03.45 on saturday morning
last sleep was 03.00-04.00 yesterday, that was one hour, when it was quiet at work, previous sleep before that was just over 4hrs between 11.40 am - 15.55 on Thursday afternoon. I have had 2 sandwiches since 18.00 Thursday, I'm hungry, but can't eat, nothing I can thing of takes my fancy, even my favorite foods.
I have had a few Vodka n cokes, well alright half a bottle, but it hasn't "knocked me out" as it was intended to.
what I need to know:
How do I reset my body clock ? What in gods name is up with me ? Why despite being hungry, can I not even mange to raise any enthusiasm for a bacon buttie ?
I'm off to bed, I can feel the tireness is out their somewhere, may be if I lye down it will find me, god I hope so, I need some sleep

Dave, you need to sleep.
There is a very good tape you can get from health food shops - "My life in football" by Dario Grady - that usually works with me.
If that fails there is one you can get at the club shop -"Tact and diplomacy on the pitch" by Clive Clarke. That one is actually a blank tape but, hey, it works so who cares! ;D
GOOOOOAAAAARRRRRNNNNNEEEE STOKE! See some of you in D's

This ranks as possibly my dumbist post EVER.
at that time of the morning, I had forgotten just what I used to be like at uni, going 36hrs without sleep on an almost monthly basis, doing all night assignment sessions, the trick is getting onto your second wind, once you get past the drowsy period when you would normally be asleep its amazing how much extra time you can stay awake without feeling tired again. Also working nights, means that my "sleeping period" is the daytime, so when I get onto my 2nd wind, I end up being awake all night.
I have lived most of my adult life on about 6hrs sleep a night.

I suffer from a sort of insomnia and rarely sleep for more than six hours a night - sometimes considerably less.
Part of my 'problem' though is that I don't do enough manual work or exercise to tire me out!

smudge I think thats mine too.
driving a van all day is mentally taxing, but nothing like when I was a M/C courier, when I was physically and mentally drained after 10-12 hrs in the saddle. (yet sometimes just absolutly buzzing from the adrenalin) It takes a lot more concentration than driving.
