Firstly some of the Hadjuk fans needs to understand the way that TV is regulated in this country and how rights to show games are allocated. It is because of TV and the dominance of SKY that the Premier League is the 'richest' in the world. Clubs simply cannot negotiate local rights for specific games. You need to understand that TV rights for UEFA competitions are regulated somewhat differently. It has nothing to do with Premier League. Clubs handle the rights for qualifiers and UEFA takes over from group stage. And anyway, if Hadjuk meant so much to you then youd be gettting yourselves over to Stoke on Trent to watch the game. Im not going to Split and accept that I have no right at all to expect to see the game televised - If I want to watch Stoke City then I need to go to the game - Its THAT simple That's a pretty arrogant thing to say. Not everyone can get 2-3 days off at work and not everyone can spend his monthly salary on that. I can understand it can look that way from the perspective of a guy living and earning in UK, whose club hasn't seen Europe in 37 years (no disrespect meant). Btw, in 2011 I very much expect such a game be televised. What century are you living in? Id also add that even if our club refused to allow TV cameras into the gound what has that got to do with Stoke City supporters ?? Maybe its different in Croatia but the way the club is run and the way supporters support is two entirely different things !! You're completely right about this. With the difference that Torcida has just launched a project that will, if successful, result with the association of fans electing 7 out of 9 members of Hajduk's Supervisory Board ;D

Average salary in Croatia is about 350 pounds, which means that someone has to set aside the entire month's salary if he wants to go to this match

Jees, imagine if we were actually trying to be disrespectful! ;D These are just standard cock ups for us.
I can't understand the tv issues right thing though. Surely we'd get some money from it? Seems odd.

But I'm not surprised the game isn't televised in the UK. The Fulham games haven't been and the channels won't be interested. That's just the way it is!

Sky, ITV and the BBC care more for the Premier League, Champions League and the FA Cup so none have bothered to bid for the rights. Chanel 5 only show the competition once it has properly started.

Am I the only one who thinks that both sets of fans ought to be able to meet and have a drink, talk football and then enjoy the game. No, you aren't the only one ... I'm with you and all Hajduk fans WERE with you BEFORE those strange events. Do you realy expect us to beleive: a) FC Stoke City web administrator never heard for uefa.com hajduk.hr and other places were he can find official Hajduk badge? b) Britannia (wrong spelling? has no any place for tv cameras wich would be payed by Croatian TV? c) FC Stoke City fans will have tv signal from 2 leg wich will be covered by Croatian TV because they like to watch Second legs not the First One ...? Oh just fuck off you fruit picking gypsy let it go.

Average salary in Croatia is about 350 pounds, Maybe if you are uneducated and brainless brickie or fish guts cleaner that never went to school.. which judging from quality of your and few others posts you are. Stop embarrassing yourself here and on hnkhajduk.com for one.. will you? Don't worry about this tossers guys.. its just bunch of u12, u13 kids that are pissed because they got slapped by the local ugly chubby girl after they tried to grab their first boob. Life lessons.. they'll learn it eventually and be less frustrated. So until then you gotta deal with the teenage internet hooliganism. Every year - same story. They embarrass us on forum of every single team we play against. Facebook brigades. No one apart from few apes on slobodnadalmacija (which is like redneck central) even dares to think something negative about stoke fans because of way UK stations and your club are acting regarding to this matter. Its utter, utter bollocks. Have a nice time in Split and please let us kick you out from the competition

Ok. So I have to use this famous American phrase You Got to be shittin' me!! Stoke is playing their first game in Euro Competition after 37 years! Thirty seven fuckin years and there is no interest of the public!!! At this time when one can place a camera on a tripod, connect it with the laptop and stream all over the world in a matter of minutes we do not have live coverage! Stoke game vs Aldershot was televised and You tell me that EURO game can not be watched live???
Please Please, tell me I'm wrong. Is this 1954?? Do we have to sit in our living room and put our ear 1 inch from the radio to hear the transmission?

Please, tell me I'm wrong. Is this 1954?? Do we have to sit in our living room and put our ear 1 inch from the radio to hear the transmission? If our stations really, really wanted to show it they'd find a way. They'd pay Stoke enough to care. But soap operas and reality shows are priority.. Lets do little recap of whats on air on national stations at the time of the game: HRT 1: Capri - Italian soap opera HRT 2: Some wank drama that barely scores 6.7 on imdb ;D HRT Plus: "Prizma - Croatian Multicultural Magazine" - Norwegians would really dig that show. (nothing bad meant by that). RTL: Mentalist and CSI for 100th time. RTL 2: Fresh Prince and King of Queens for billionth time. Nova TV: Some Turkish show that i can't even type.. let alone pronounce. Doma TV: Some crap domestic soap opera followed by some crap foreign soap operas. Now lets look at sports networks: Arena 1: Rerun of France - Wales in rugby. We are such rugby loving nation that we really need a re run of that. Arena 2: "Road to London" prerecorded show. It can be moved and aired just about any time. It will get show in reruns shitload of time anyway. Sportklub: 3 (20-23) hours variously dedicated to FC Bayern. Gloryhunters will dig that. Sportklub+: Zurich - Servette.. i mean really.. Swiss league?! They don't have anything else to fill the program with? SPTV: Horse show jumping and "world of golf". Really?! So.. please.. before you shit on Stoke and their TV stations you should really be pissed at ours. Because they have so much better stuff to show that evening than Hajduk - Stoke. If they really wanted to show our game. They would.

Yeah sure I know that our tv is what you would call bollocks. I know that it is in their interest not to broadcast our game. With all those games they are broadcasting they surely run out of commentators. znaš i sam da su im svi pobigli.
However, I want to find out why is there not at least one tv camera on the game? Is it Stoke FC decision, HRT decision or something else?

There will be camera, because obviously every game has to be recorded. But no one will air the signal. No production. Just raw footage.
Why was it so hard to hire 2, 3 more guys and satellite uplink? I don't know.. i'm not the bloody Einstein that decided not to show this game..

One thing you guys need to think about is that the catchment for our club is relatively small- about 500,000 people, and that we are unfashionable within our region and certainly within the country as a whole...we could score six against Liverpool and we would get 30 seconds of highlights on the BBC Match of the Day programme...seriously, dont take this as a serious insult to yourselves- its the normal insult to Stoke City...the fact that no one likes us is something we are proud of here

And you come here telling ppl to stop embarrassing themselves? OK, so average salary is not 350, but 450, big difference. Hate to burst your bubble, but we live in a shit hole and education guarantees you nothing. Try working in a public school Besides, football fans are known as the intelligentsia of any society, are they? Then again, what's wrong with being an honest worker without college education? I know loads of people working their butts off for peanuts, so the choice between feeding your family for a month and going to a fucking football match 2000km away is an easy one. What gives you right to shit on them? I really have no interest in going further with this, especially not here. But I'd rather read posts by silly kids passionate about their club than by patronizing pricks trying to look good in front of the "civilised" Brits. Tend to your small nation complexes somewhere else, will ya

I'm not sure why it should be Stoke's fault that the game isn't on live in this country. There'll be cameras at the game, highlights available from somewhere and a live stream somewhere on the internet. It just won't be shown live because none of the national TV stations here have the rights to show it.

CroTV is ready to pay ... they cover it very easy with commercials (We are not 'proud' - we are the most popular club in CEE region...) So, guys what's going on there??? p.s. you can call me Croatian wild nazi or stupid freak from Balkan ... in a meantime maybe you have some answer

Have a nice time in Split and please let us kick you out from the competition This guy has no idea where he lives I'll tell you Average salary in Croatia is 350-400 pounds If we do the conversion in our currency, it´s 3000-3500 kuna Of course, some jobs are poorly paid, some are better paid. For example, people who work in supermarkets have around 250 pounds, but this guy is a child and he still does not know it In Croatia is more than 300,000 people are unemployed Croatia has a total of about 4 million residents, so the number of unemployed is a huge, about 10% of the population, but this guy is a child and he still does not know it and something else. I am not uneducated, I graduated from college, but can not find a job. That´s the situation in our country. Only bribery and corruption. Country living from tourism, if there is no tourism in our country, our country would have been bankrupt hnkhajduk.com? It's not me, I am not registered there

for some reason no-one seems to be bothered about watching the early stages of the europa league. its not stokes fault... just not many people in the uk outside of stoke will bother watching it because as durbanscircus said we are unfashionable and not very popular with other teams. we do what we do best which isnt to many peoples taste meaning they wont watch the match.
