The "banning" of under 16s wasn't really a banning but what happened was they took away the under 16s turnstile away making it that if you wanted to stand in the Boothen you then had to pay full price. Being a school boy and having little disposable money to throw away it had to be the Stoke end for me and my mates. Seem to remember that they were talking of closing the boothen and a song was sung " youll never shut the boothen end, we,ll break in" Happy days.

That could have been the case, although I was lifted over the turnstile by my dad with the full knowledge of the turnstile operator on many occasions until my dad felt I was old enough to go with my mates and have my own season ticket. £11 if I remember rightly for my first season ticket. That included cup games too !

I still stand by my post that under 16's were banned from the Boothen in the matches following the Leeds game, can't prove it but I know I'm right so bollocks I think you are in a minority of one! !! No need to be offensive over it! Bollox, bollocks and thrice bollox, stick that in yer pipe & smoke it
