Guys I really need help. After Monday I was so down it was like I was a recovering alcoholic or something.
Anyway after thinking about it all day Tuesday I was that sad I watched sky sports news instead of watching the Liverpool – Arsenal game just to see how the total football Brazilians were getting on.
Then things came to a head last night. I came in after picking my girlfriend up. Not knowing the Watford score I came in and switched on sky sports news totally oblivious to the fact that my mum was watching something.
I then after seeing the score danced around the living room like a mad man and went straight upstairs to phone me mate with my girlfriend and mum totally oblivious to why I was acting like this.
My girlfriend and I then had a row, she says I’m sad and need to get a life. Has anyone else shown these symptoms this promotion it’s taking over my life. ???

You’re a Stokie mate, it’s just part and parcel of it all !!
We're all going through it.
We never do things the easy way.

Over son ... it will never be over, as long as stoke exist they will play a huge part in my life, i don't work saturdays, if i can't go i listen on the radio. This year it is worrying about promotion next could be relegation and working out where the wins are coming from to stay up.
the begining of the season full of me telling everyone stoke will do well ect ect. I think about stoke more than sex or even Robin.

Look mate its nothing to do with the current situation. You are a Stokie end of story it will always be the same. I've been a Stokie for 45 years its never changed for me. I live in Devon and have listened to every single game this season on internet and went to game at argyle. This morning my daughter had a scan on my 2nd grandchild and whoopee its goin to be a boy (1st grandchild is girl)I'm already looking at under-3- months Stoke city baby clothes for him. Mrs thinks I've completely lost it.

ok it will be over for a few weeks in the summer then lol....the talking about it wont ever stop but at least the looking out for results or going the match etc will be over for a few weeks
OR
if she continues to make a big thing out of it mate, and she cant accept you for who you are then maybe its time to call it a day with her?
oh the joys of being a stokie eh!? im so glad im my own man these days, and havent got a woman to answer to! ;D

This may seem brutal, but change your girlfriend before it becomes a problem.
I am with Lawrieleslie (I remember seeing him play), it has always been like this for Stokies, you will always have that - if there's a way to screw it up feeling that Stoke will find it.

watched the game from thailand at 2.00am tuesday morning, feeling like shit with flu like symptons, sorry pattayapotter and soicowboy for not going out down town. After the game i sat up with a coffee and felt so depressed i could have twatted somebody. My gf got up at 5.30am and was getting fed up with stoke too.she knows how important they are to me and understands as well.Ater the west brom result i got more depressed, but got a little bit better when watford lost. aND FOR YOU NORTHWICHSTOKIE,how can you say i have no view(pattayapotter told me) after seeing the state i was in after the palace game.you have no right to say that about me as i have supported stoke since 61.because i chose a better life does not give you the right to question my loyal support of stoke. cheshire you live,i am thailand whats the difference.

morning hannibal, Not saying you don't have a view but you can't comment on a whole season on a couple of games on sky and the ramblings off Radio stoke. As to a better life that's a matter of choice and opinions and what you want for yourself out of life, everybodies different.

Author, You - and they - must realise that most Stokies are probably like that. The past few weeks have been a killer, even by our club's brutal standards. Personally, I arrived home at 2.45. a.m. to tactful silence. Although my other half usually makes a comment, as I climb into bed, on this occasion he thought better of it. And sensibly so. He doesn't try to understand why I'm so crazy, but that's the best policy. Author, your partner must do the same; or it's surely curtains for her.

The other option is to to take partners etc to watch Stoke. Experience has shown that given time they will eventually join in with the joys of being a full-time Stoke City supporter.
I was at a conference in Torquay Monday night. Paced up and down the streets until I found a pub showing the game. Just me and a handful of locals who occasionally glanced at the screen when I let out a shout or worse!

Northwichstokie, So you dont think i have a say in how stoke are playing and what i want for the club.I never said i was right all the time but i do have a view.Every day i read the sentinel, come on this site and lsiten to all views on here, some good and some mental.read all papers on the pc,talk to many frineds in the uk who go the matches, including my brothers and dad.my whole life in pattaya still centres around stoke and you have the nerve to state i cannot comment on my beloved team.I suggest you confine your insults to the gobshiiiiits of stoke on trent who support man u.one day maybe we will meet and you can see how much i love my team,.

Is it me, but I don't see anything wrong with you.
This is some societal plot to undermine the quirkiness of the non-clone.
