Geoff Scott here ex-player. Terry and I were instrumental in forming SCOBA the Old Boy's Association. Terry is a great friend and one of the first senior pro's at the club along with Josh Mahoney to take me under their wing. My understanding is that Stoke City will make a statement tomorrow. I personally thank you all for your good wishes and prayers for Mr Stoke City !! TC NEEDS THE TWELTH MAN more than ever !! Im gutted !!!!!!! Scotty, how heart warming it is that ex players view us numpties on here and still speak of their former team mates with such heartfelt adoration. Hopefully TC will pull through this.

'Terry Conroy' is one of those names you're brought up on as a young supporter. He just seems to be an integral part of Stoke City. Get well soon Terry.

I work at the hospital, so without getting myself in too much trouble can confirm that Gerard (Terry) Conroy was on ward 23 before going for an operation. Will try and find out more, but it doesn't sound very good. Bloody gutted and unless there is a miracle it will be a sad sad day for Stoke and the Conroy family. I hope you pull through TC, my thoughts are with you and your family. I work on the Hospital too and I know that 23 is a Neurosurgery ward. The staff on those wards are absolutely top class and he couldn't be in better hands anywhere. Good luck and God bless to TC, fingers crossed for you.

I just can't believe it. It was only three weeks ago that me, my dad and bro met the great TC. It was before the home match vs West Brom and we came all the way from Malta. What a great surprise when we found out this fine gent was to be our host for the memorable evening at the Brit. His stadium tour was so entertaining and after dinner in the Waddington Suite, we spent an hour chatting with Terry and friends. We were already looking forward to meeting again next season. Please dear TC, don't disappoint us. We desperately hope and pray you see this through. Love, Michael, John and Andrew Harrison from Malta

Get well soon TC.
Can't believe it I'm gutted. Was on stadium tour and spoke to him yesterday in the Waddo. He was loving the Stoke victory and as we left he was loving how Ireland were winning the rugby - doing his best to try and hide the latter albeit unsuccessfully. True legend on and off the pitch and made my day meeting him!!

Unfortunately I was a bit too young to have the pleasure of seeing TC in the red & white stripes but I can't think of too many other ex. pro's who were not only legends on the pitch but true gentlemen off it.
He is also he is the most polite man i've ever seen around the ground who never tired of chewing the fat with anybody who engaged with him, no matter how busy he was or whatever else he should of been doing.
Hope you pull through TC & join us all at wembley, it will seem an empty place without you there.

A thought for our winger, from the Stoke City Throng, Your blood's like ours, red 'n' white every day.... And like the words from our very special song, "We'll be with you, every step along the way"....
Best Wishes to a TRUE LEGEND...
